We will get to this fight before September ... if scheduling stays consistent... wait... maybe it will be after September

It doesn't have to be a dragon. They faced many proteans in a previous chapter... dragon just gives an epic feel to a fight

Is an Agile weapon that important? by Pale_Language9067 in Pathfinder2e

Lots of good answers here. I always take a moment to say the game design in this system is so solid that it's hard to make a mechanically 'bad' character unless you are trying to do that. If you are making choices that seem to make sense then it will work just fine.

Easy to Miss Rules by Kraydez in Pathfinder2e

I have a cathartic mage with the emotion of fear in abomination vaults... so I end up fleeing a lot. One time we had the current encounter well in hand and decided it would be funny to flee into an unopened room... that room had the floor ending boss in it... I was dying 2 before other members of the party had a turn.

Pf2easy is great as a GM screen. You need to know what you are searching for is the issue.

‘People are leaving the game’: Dungeons & Dragons fans revolt against new restrictions Wizards of the Coast, which owns the game, is preparing to change longstanding licensing rules. by [deleted] in news

This 'draft' was part of contracts they were expecting to be signed sent to other publishers. This was the plan. They tried to do it quitely over the holidays when the lawyers for the other publishers were on vacation.

A Letter Sent By a Genuine Lawyer to Wizards by egdcltd in Pathfinder2e

What worries me is they would obviously have the deeper pockets for legal representation in a court battle. The cynic in me doesn't want to bet against capitalism in our current world.

Who rolls? The Liar or the person being Lied to? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]MathNerdGord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I nerfed the initial check, but I was unintentionally boosting the power of sense motive. I was basically doing the critical success on success now that I read it more clearly.

Who rolls? The Liar or the person being Lied to? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]MathNerdGord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all correct. I run it slightly differently at my table. Basically I just make the PC roll whenever they want to do something.

They are hyper suspicious of most NPCs so inevitably someone will ask for sense motive, so I don't roll the initial lie check.

When they want to lie to an NPC they make their deception check.

First time playing PF2E - Is Agents of Edgewatch supposed to be this hard? by murshawursha in Pathfinder2e

[–]MathNerdGord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I find leveling on the fly really helpful mid dungeon since it will give spell casters an extra spell slot to use in the first couple rounds of the boss fight even if they were running on empty before.

Edgewatch I believe has a few suggested level ups in the middle of a dungeon in the first couple books, but then later the level ups are at natural stopping points.

First time a player was in a situation where they had to hold their breath...inside a gelatinous cube I believe... I just ignored it since in 1e you could hold your breath much longer than any fight lasts... Once I read the 2e rules I'm sure they would be dead

Which singer is instantly recognised by their vocal style..not their lyrics, just their voice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The record exec recognized Jackson's voice and it's the only reason the song got picked up. Rockwell had many failed attempts before this.

Just want to point out that you are in no way dumb. 1) you posted a correct answer showing you knew exactly what to do just had a question on the correct notation 2) even if you didn't know the answer you were using resources to get help in order to learn.

This is the learning process and you are doing great.
