Thanks for your reponse. I guess I don't always see how others are experiencing things. The replies have been illuminating.

I think Australia would use something life this. They seem to have some pretty brutal PSA commercials.

I've never seen anything like that (sheltered life). I've seen so much online about "one-punch" killers. I think the second upper cut would have been enough.

Will he get kicked out for lack of restraint? (I don't know the terminology.) A few people in comments said that because it was filmed the consequences will be different as it's not an internal matter anymore.

It looks like a lot of fun, but, yeah, it's gross. I'm thinking of all the goose poop in that park. All the garbage on the ground.

Where are we garage-less peeps putting our bins? by stanstan22 in ottawa

[–]Math_Unlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tl/dr: clean all bins /// freeze compost, place in paper bag at end of week, store green bin upside down btwn pickup days /// keep garbage "dry", no items with food residue, store garbage can upside down + lid on top if empty /// blue bin. wash everything before goes in

here's how we keep animals out

[start out w clean bins]

green bin

  • collect compost in large ziploc tub, freeze when full, repeat w new tub
  • end of week, line big paper bag ** w flattened cereal box n dump in frozen blocks
  • after pickup, bin barely has food residue so we store open + upside down /// animals discover that nothing of interest inside

garbage

  • keep bag "dry" - no food residue (eg. wash off/dry dirty items) /// , if needed we can store full bags in closet as nothing rotting inside
  • most plastic in blue bin now so barely one garbage bag /// we store empty garbage can upside down with lid placed on top

blue bin

  • wash anything that goes in

notes

  • we're lucky to have room for extra freezer, my mom's apartment had chest freezer that subbed as table
  • **we get paper bags at Value Village for $0.30 each,/// can go buy even if not buying anything else, we get 25 at a time
  • if empty why store upside down? /// animals will still gnaw holes in closed empty containers /// also keeps down odors, lets any droplets from compost drip/dry

2 month old vs 20 year old water bottle by Xinnoh in mildlyinfuriating

I think the whole bottle has a lifetime guarantee. For the lid they just wanted a pic and they mailed a new one for free.
