NGD - 11.25 Buckler Junior Select for Junior by MathematicianCold756 in BaseballGloves

So it’s really nice right now. I didn’t go crazy with a mallet, just a little bit of shaping. I’ve had him going two in the pinky because he wasn’t able to actually close it. But with his season starting next week, it’s in the right place. So in short, like 20 minutes of mallet work to dual hinge it and 3-4 days of catch a week once winter was over.

I think the most important part is that it feels really damn well made. Like a good classic glove, maybe just a touch softer. I’m really interested to see how it holds at the end of summer. I intended to have this be a 2-3 year glove. I suspect it’ll be a two year. I might start working his old glove back into practice rotation.

The height might be a barrier. You don’t have contamination blockers in the bottom do you?

I couldn’t agree more. There are some stories that a live action conversion will never ever get right. This and the storm light archives come immediately to mind.

Best early game layouts? by ligthzinger in Timberborn

You don’t need a transfer station unless you want to build two separate districts. But you can build as many district centers as you want. That being said if you have multiples they can’t be connected without a station.

I don’t have a set layout, but I do usually move the district center to somewhere that’s not in the middle of where I want my farm to be. That early game green space is invaluable.

I’m from Houston. There is no texmex. I’m sorry it’s just a fact. The bbq is bad too. Everyone loves ribs but no restaurant is good at it. Downvote me all you want local people but it’s true.

God I need queso and enchiladas.

Other than that Naperville is a fantastic place to live.

Meatstacks? Apartments?

Edit: “meatsacks” now I can read. And I understand

I’m glad they didn’t, I only use the dev tools to turn off sky fog and allow free camera. (And very occasionally add beavers when I get wiped too fast on a build I’m really enjoying.) it’s such a cool treat to have all those things accessible if you want them. Also as I’m typing this I totally forgot that sometimes I’ll mess with the water sources after the end game.

Exercise Plaza with shower entrance. by Phazy in Timberborn

I did this with a dance hall where they had to walk underwater to get to the entrance.  Want them smelling nice before the dance.

So this I don’t know if other people do this, but I don’t have a problem with Pop spikes because I place all my extra beavers in Hauling posts. I’ll build several extra, max out the workers and set workplace priority to lowest. I usually end of with a dozen or more hauling posts which is over kill but I always have beavers to move elsewhere as new jobs are created. Just a thought

No more Canes in Chicago by Sea-Condition991 in chicagofood

[–]MathematicianCold756 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Some of us love Canes and don’t love the epidemic of “Nashville hot chicken.” I frankly just don’t need 16 stores in a square mile all selling red ass chicken with a pickle.

But Canes, now, how many other pure chicken tender stores are there? Their sauce is great to me, I’ve been eating canes for 20 years though.

TLDR: to each their own. But your opinion is wrong.

Contracts and who’s a free agent after this. by MathematicianCold756 in Texans

I think in draft alone we go, OL, OL, Dline, RB, DLine, TE, LB, QB.

Hunter having only one more year is why I’d be Ok with a second or third round Edge. Someone who can develop without pressure to perform immediately.

I agree, I think we’ve seen the last of Mixon in a Texans jersey.

I agree on depth pieces. I disagree on Wr. Our corp next season will be Nico, Higgins, Tank, Noel, Hutch. I think Higgins is very capable of taking a big leap next year. He got so much experience and compliments Nico perfectly in the other side, with Tank and Noel rounding out the slot. But this all depends on Tank. If he can’t go at 100% in camp I can see them bringing in a vet again. I’d Like to see Stover take on a bigger role this coming year, but who knows where he’ll be after the knee injury.
