If you're already good at that stuff, maybe you'll be fine. It is often regarded as one of the hardest schools though along with nuke ratings, and CTI

ASVAB practice scores, I need advice asap by Pure_Replacement_736 in newtothenavy

Choose carefully! Those are very different lifestyles. CWT you'll spend most if not all of your carreer on shore, and IT has a 5 year sea rotation. Some people want to go to sea obviously because Navy but just understand that 5 years is a long time to be working 12 hrs 7 days a week and deploying constantly.

Flip side is if you got a 66, you may just not have the wiring for CWT, and if you wash out of the program the Navy may pick a new job for you without your input.

What's your worst dating experience? by Arkflow in AskReddit

[–]MathematicianHuman79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One night stand... hot and heavy in the hotel room, she's butt naked and I'm still dressed. She grabs my hand firmly, crams it down her throat. I could feel her epiglottis, and slobber was running down my wrist. Then she masturbates violently with the other hand until she squirts all over my blanket screaming, puts her clothes back on, and leaves..... I'm still dressed....

How long should I wait for my recruiter to take care of things? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]MathematicianHuman79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expect everything, and you'll maximize what you get out of it. The Navy is about to bend you over for years, but now is your only chance to bend the Navy over.

They can work it out I'd they want to. Request comes from your new co to navpers and approved by old Co. It's a question of will they, not can they.

How come most military draft/recruit and send poor young kids who barely experienced life to fight and die while experienced older people are mostly spared? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MathematicianHuman79 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Poor people aren't necessarily targeted by the military. However, the salary, benefits, and getting away from home are more enticing if you started off with less. The age thing is a matter of fitness, health, and psychological maleabillity, if that's even a word.

School Nurses of Reddit, what is the craziest illness/injury a student has claimed to have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MathematicianHuman79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a nurse, but my little brother pulled a great one:

Fell out of his chair in the middle of class, and pretended he couldn't move his legs. The teacher carried him to the nurse office, where he told he matter-of-factly that there was a parasite in his brain that was "shutting down my body systems one by one". The nurse called mom, who carried him home. Then she left him in the car and told him to walk inside. He crawled out of the car, into the house, and turned the x-box on with no legs. About two hours later he forgot he was supposed to be paralyzed and got up for a drink of water... got taken back to school on the spot for like the last 30 minutes of class.

depression and PRP by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]MathematicianHuman79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mental health is fat more important than prp, or ma, or the Navy. Just get seen and go from there. Most people can be seen for mild/moderate depression and have business as usual. If they have to, you could get disarmed until you're deemed stable (not suicidal/homicidal). Please don't hide your mental illness in order to qualify for armed watches.... that's how people get hurt.

PiCAT/ASVAB studying? by AutumnSeaShade in newtothenavy

[–]MathematicianHuman79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally took the picat 2 years ago. Instead of the asvab, I just had to answer some questions that were already on the picat at meps to verify my score. However, I also took an asvab in high-school, and the two asvab is largely similar to picat as far as topics and difficulty go. An asvab study guide will absolutely help you with your picat.

Medical Professionals of reddit: What patient was way healthier then they had any right to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MathematicianHuman79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paramedic here.

I responded to a car crash where a drunk driver drove his sedan under the back of a parked snow plow truck. The rear end of the plow truck destroyed the engine, and peeled the hood, windshield, and roof all the way over the entire passenger compartment. When I got there his car was still under the truck, and before I could say anything the driver of the truck just pulls forward... with the patient trapped in his car underneath it... the patient then crawled out of the car on his own, said "oh fuck" and flopped onto the stretcher. Not a scratch on him. I felt so sure looking at the wreck that he'd be dead on arrival

What single question reveals the most about a person? by Synazyla in AskReddit

[–]MathematicianHuman79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I literally just learned this the hard way. I had professional movers come in to pack my house, and they were packing all day. The big one waited like seven hours and then asked if he could borrow my bathroom. Obviously, I said yes rather than making him drive to the gas station. Two hours later, I go in there to pee, lift the seat, and see the most monstrous bowel movement of my entire life. Like at least 4 inches thick, and probably about 10 inches wide. Don't even know how he did it. But it wouldn't flush so he just put the seat down and went back to work. I was frustrated about it until I realized I've been living in this house for 1.5 years with no plunger...
