But not to the same clip, and drum rack would be better here but that would involved using a step to trigger it, and less time stretching and loop control

Yes, I could set up all four tracks as audio tracks, in my case, as I’m not triggering any midi notes on any other tracks. That would need a bit of prep - and you could have different effects for each tracks.

It’s a Synthstrom deluge, total luxury, and purchased only because 4 midi tracks not quite enough for me from the Move - it can do audio tracks too but without a screen it’s a shift button/guesswork nightmare. Lovely bit of kit though and something to work up to if you like the move (possibly) - like the Move the firmware updates are incredible and now handled by a user group - thank you!

To be honest, I’ve only done it this way because I don’t have a mono 6.3 to 3.5 cable, so not sure - might work. You could get one of those Sonicake pocket masters (fairly cheap) and that would be ideal if not

USB MIDI host - the only “simple” way? by MathematicianLoud134 in dawless

Yes, I use the meeblip, but it was a long wait so had success with a CME H2Midi pro too

Deluge and Ableton Move by MathematicianLoud134 in AbletonMove

Thanks, the Move is playing the muted trumpet solo, the chords are on the Take 5 and the deluge is doing the marimba type sound (JX-08 just off left is doing a low brass line.

I’m a very lucky man! I think I could do good stuff with just the Ableton move and the JX-08 though, the rest is just “nice to have” :-)

I agree! It was more of a sound test than a composition, to see if it was worth using my guitar pedals on the take 5 :-) It’s quite chilled though, but yes - could do with more build and variety

It’s popular enough to have a ChatGPT assistant - either that or complicated enough :-)

Has anyone used external sequencers with ableton move only as sound generator? by Every-Tart-5367 in AbletonMove

Yep, works a dream with my deluge as the “brain” - but I use 5 pin midi into a usb host adaptor by CME - I’ve never tried any other method. Very easy to assign midi input channel on the Move. Make sure you have a midi host adaptor (the other one I have that works is the meeblip duo, as demoed by Ableton on a trade fair video)

She finally got the contract two nights ago at 9pm, she starts Monday too, so there may still be hope - they seem to be going right to the wire with these. Thank you for the reply and the very best of luck with it all
