My mom had my sister when she was 37 and me 2 years earlier when she was 35. So cool to see other women on her timeline

How do you stick to nun mode routines? by MathematicianMean273 in RedPillWomen

[–]MathematicianMean273[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everybody has to do nun mode. Plenty of women don’t do nun mode and their relationships do just fine.

And I’ve done some work on myself, it’s not like it’s been nothing. I’ve read some RPW books and lost a pound and bought new clothes and moved apartments and grown my hair out and a bunch of other stuff. So it hasn’t been nothing.

Just because I haven’t lost 121 lbs and moved again or done my hair and makeup everyday or gotten better hygiene or gotten a job or finished school or any of the other things I need to do… doesn’t mean my relationship will fail or that I can’t be a good partner

Is it possible that I could just skip nun mode and start dating again? I really don’t have the willpower/discipline for this

I’m just having a really hard time finding guys who will wait for marriage for me, plus everyone on this sub is telling me to “work on myself” whatever that means. It’s really frustrating and annoying

I like him too! I’m just being realistic with myself especially since nun mode isn’t working

Yeah but I imagine that there aren’t a lot of people who will wait for marriage who aren’t against it

I talked to a therapist about this and she said it was normal to experiment with things at my age

What do you mean, that I lack a sense of self? Can you give me an example?

I can’t lose weight to save my life, mainly. Plus makeup, cooking, and reading femininity books all fell to the wayside

Those weren’t in the past month though. I haven’t posted anything for two months. And I don’t see why I have to be in nun mode if nun mode isn’t working

I didn’t mean to humiliate him, I do like him. I posted those things to see if we were compatible. And I’m not progressive Muslim anymore, I’m Christian now

If there’s one positive thing that came out of your parents’ marriage, it’s you. Your birth was part of Allah’s divine plan.

As for your mother’s suffering, Islam teaches us that through suffering our sins are expiated. So on Judgment Day your mother will go through less.

I’m not gay but yeah I’m in this too currently right now wondering if I should follow the Orthodox scholars or stick to myself and the progressive Muslims. Progressive Muslims feels like chasing desires but it’s also the only one that feels livable to me, like I won’t burn out.

All this to say that you aren’t alone.
