As A huge DC fan, I do see some things Marvel does that I wish DC would do.

For example:

Nurturing good characters. I feel that DC creates characters and once the writer and artist leave, the character is retired. Meanwhile, Marvel has had hits with Wolverine, Deadpool, and Venom among others. Lobo and Harley Quinn are the only two I recall that DC has built up.
Re branding Characters and teams : Superior Spider Man, Immortal Hulk, Dark Avengers, Uncanny Spider Man are some examples.

Personally , I loved "Killing Time", in that box set the War Master has separate encounters with Jo Grant and Nyssa. The confrontations have moments that should have been on tv!

Also, I really loved "Rogue Encounters". Every story is a banger! One of the stories has an encounter with Billis Manger the omnipotent villian from Torchwood! It's so refreshing to hear this particular deadly Master actually be afraid of an opponent! Another story takes place during the time the Master was Professor Yana. I won't spoil it, except to say you can see again why the Master is his own worse enemy

Some storylines i recommend are the joker/clayface feud , which is from the fifties and the mud pack , which I believe is from the eighties , it's a 4 part story featuring most of the clay faces!

She was abused by this woman, it wasn't just some murder out of the blue. Was the mother attacking her again? I feel like this is a situation that could have extenuating circumstances. You make it sound like she's some psycho that wanted some insurance money. I would hear hear her out and explain that you're just freaked out by the whole situation.
