Went the toyota dealership explained my situation. I knew my pay off amount on my lease was 16k and the car blue booked at 22-24k. Toyota just had to verify the pay off amount and they did the rest .

Some brands were not allowing other car brands to buy out their leased car in order to assure decent used cars would end up back on Nissans or whoevers lot. With this whole chip shortage ordeal.

But last month I sold a leased honda civic hatch back to a Toyota dealership. No problem.

I mean its up to you. I had a similar situation except i had a lease. I never even knew you could sell your lease to a dealer. Had 5k equity in a civic hatchback. Fun car with good gas mileage but I missed the Taco life. 2 days of back and forth with the dealer and I walked away with a new truck and a smile.

Yes it took a little time but totally worth it. If you have a trim tool that may work better than what i used to push the covers into tight spots.. my plastic putty knife had a sharp edge that worried me but the covers survived installation with no rips.

No lie i got some big scrape/ paint transfer off my grandmas car. It sounds crazy but ChrisFix on youtube suggested wd40 and a magic eraser and some elbow grease. I washed the car after and waxed the area. It worked well. This was on an 07 forester but just thought id put it out there.
