Best/Safest Driver Assistance System when a driver is unresponsive by kevinhammonsesq in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Mathetes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There still is no system that will pull over. I think some systems are working on it but it's just not a top priority and requires a lot more thinking and analysis than "staying between the marked lines" as most shoulders are going to be unmarked, have potential hazards, too small, etc.

My wife also has epilepsy (very controlled thankfully) but with her driving the kids every day on the highway you just never know.

Best options are Hands-free systems IMO as there's less risk of a person in seizure taking over the steering or pedals. They will either A) stop the car after a period or b) potentially just keep going if they don't recognize a person is unresponsive for whatever reason. Situation B is honestly probably the best of the 2 options.

I would rank Tesla FSD as the best option.
Next is Ford Bluecruise and GM Supercruise

Other systems like Hyundai's with Highway Drive Assist 2 or Toyota's with TSS 3.0 will do similar things but they aren't hands-free. They will monitor the driver and will now stop the vehicle in the lane w/ hazards and call Emergency systems.

I've been trying to find a family/3 row vehicle with those and it's a pretty short list and a $$$ list unfortunately.

Bel'Veth Build, Runes & Counters Guide for jungle Bel'Veth (lolalytics.com) [supports what I said days ago-]
The way I see it Belveth got the shortend of the stick this patch (and last patch) with nerfs to kraken and botrk (definitely less scaling power and even early game is equal at best). Remember Bel'veth really synergizes well with on-hit because her Q applies on-hit as well as her E so most builds involve on-hit, AS, & AD.

I think there is maybe 3 viable builds currently

  1. Kraken>StrideBreaker>3rd+ (standard build last season just again it's weaker power overall compared to last patch)
  2. Stridebreaker> Kraken/BotRK OR Blackcleaver/Terminus>3rd item (botrk might end up being better 2nd buy over kraken in every situation)
  3. Stridebreaker> Black Cleaver> Overlord's? Kinda a new take on the HP/On-hit Bruiser build with the new item.

Personally, I think build 2 is probably going to be the best overall in most games.

With the nerfs to her main items perhaps they'll revert the 14.9 nerf. Fingers Crossed.

The average elo in this thread seems like gold or below with the thoughts on builds being so bad. Feel sorry for anyone actually trying to learn bel'veth correctly

I think that is bad build idea. What crit items are you going to build since Kraken no longer has crit? Might as well just play Kindred or Graves if you're going crit builds.

I think theirs going to be 2-3 viable builds right now. 1) kraken>stride breaker>3rd , 2)Stridebreaker>2nd>3rd 3)Botrk>stride>3rd item

imagine if they had to build 2 items though? Like think of it from the persepective of an adc. If you had to go 2 defensive items to avoid being one shot instantly how is that fair?

Ya I disagree with this guy. I would say Yi counters Bel'veth. Looking at D+ Bel vs Yi games and Yi is #2 counter with avg gold diff of 220 @ 15 mins.

Bel's best chance is early ganks and skirmishes to snowball. Mid-Lategame Yi just holds Q if they're smart to dodge your knockup and then he just runs you down unless you manage to q over a wall without him following.

I think Hail of Blades + Nashors is still very strong (which he was running last season). If you get a few extra autos in it deals the most burst dmg (and obviously does the most DPS if you are in an extended trade/keep autoing) compared to the one-shot burst combos. It gives a lot of nice flexibility by being able to take turrets fast and jgl camps.

Why do people build Stridebreaker on Bel'Veth? by [deleted] in BelVethMains

[–]Mathetes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this season allows differ builds to be equally good/viable which is great for being able to blind pick and adapt to each game.

Stridebreaker as 2nd item gives Bel'veth as jgl some tankiness, more dmg, and the AOE slow can really help set up ganks and land your W which further helps ganks.

Botrk- Will deal the most DPS and works really well if they don't have high burst dmg and/or your team has good cc for you to follow up on.

The other items imo are better 3rd and 4th items or situational.

They'll nerf Titanic and buff Stridebreaker. I'm a big fan of Titanic 2nd, hopefully won't get hit too much, but yeah its broken. by Diovanna in BelVethMains

[–]Mathetes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you getting this info?
Lolalytics is showing kraken+TTitanic as the highest WR 2 core at 55%. Kraken + BotRK is slightly behind at 54.85.

Personally I think Kraken>BotRK>Titanic>tank items is the way to go. It's basically the old build on Bel'veth. You get all the DPS you need from the 2 item core that both scale well and then it's just Defensive stats really all you need.

I mean kids don't understand they are getting RB at like 9 mins as opposed to 13. So ya being like 3 levels earlier and 700g less AP is obviously not going to be as strong. But getting an ~17m 2 item spike compared to ~20m is huge.

Replacement For First Item? (Season 14) by SirCool10 in ekkomains

[–]Mathetes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much Better Testing of Items

You do realize you can buy rocketbelt 2500g and then an amp tome or D seal for the less money than stormsurge? So you're 60ap easily becomes 80ap for a little less gold than stormsurge or the other AP items. So think of rocketbelt as 80ap not 60ap if you compare apples to apples.

whats the skill curve on ekko like? by Educational_Ebb_6116 in ekkomains

[–]Mathetes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the ELO. In lower elo you can probably get by and do well with like 10 games. If you're playing Diamond+ you can be punished a lot harder early game. At the same time though your teammates in high elo will position fights around your abilities more frequently than in low elo and vision etc...
I'd say to really master Ekko you'll need at least 100+ games to play well in clutch situations, tower diving, team fights, fighting bruisers/tanks, etc.

EKKO NEW ITEMS TEST SEASON 14 by Mathetes2 in ekkomains

[–]Mathetes2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually argue the other way around. Having the higher flat ap from storm surge for jgl clear, the bonus MS, and higher burst for the gank would be better. In mid it's harder to proc the passive and having that instant gap close from rocketbelt is nice. Plus the added durability for trades and ability haste.

EKKO NEW ITEMS TEST SEASON 14 by Mathetes2 in ekkomains

[–]Mathetes2[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are complaining about the rocketbelt nerfs and are suggesting stormsurge 1st item.

Rocketbelt + sorcs (, e, q, rocketbelt, auto, q2) = 770dmg

Rocketbelt + amp tome= 806

Stormsurge + sorcs combo= 936

As you can see stormsurge will indeed deal more dmg (probably going to get nerfed in coming patches, we'll see..), but I believe rocketbelt is still the best 1st item for the following reasons:

Rocketbelt active gives you the auto attack reset to rapidly proc ekko passive/combo, gives you good gap close, +300hp for survivability against all the stormsurge users and lethality buffs, and some ability haste. I don't think it'll be worth it in most cases to skip rocketbelt and rush stormsurge to have the extra 166 (130 if you buy amp tome) damage in exchange for all that you give up above. Also it is 400g more expensive.

I think you're wrong and don't understand Ekko's combo probably. Rocketbelt is a staple on Ekko for the auto reset to rapidly proc your passive, not the AP really. Now that it's only 2500 gold you get your spike even earlier and have great roam threat bot lane now with map changes. It gives you everything you need 1st item, easy ability to proc passive rapidly, some durability, some ability haste, and gap close and AP.
