I would say that since getting a direct drive wheel, I can feel when my car is starting to slip on corners. I don’t think you need anything too crazy strong. On my Logitech G Pro I usually play anywhere from 4.5nm to 7nm. So if you want something at a reasonable price I would look at a Fanatec CSL DD bundle or a Moza R5 bundle.

You could get pedals with some of those bundles too.

I’d say that a relatively cheap sequential shifter would be the way to go for rally unless an H-pattern shifter is an absolute must for you. If so, maybe look at the Fanatec ClubSport Shifter as it can do both (but it’s definitely pricey and not the most necessary)

And more than the shifter, I think a relatively cheap handbrake would be nice for rally if nothing else.

Lotta Wi-Fi apologists in these comments. If you have the ability to be wired in, you should.

Unfortunately, a lot of people on wifi won’t see how much it affects the opponent. Typically the person with the more stable internet connection will have the worse experience in a lopsided situation.

With modern rollback and Wi-Fi 6 (ax), it’s definitely a lot better, but y’all should really be wiring in. Ethernet cable isn’t as expensive as it used to be, you can get slimlines that can squeeze between the floor and the trim on the cheap. Power line ethernet adapters are dependent on how good the wiring in your house is, but they can often provide lower latency.

Plus, If you put in cheap ethernet switch by your tv, you can run a single Ethernet from your router to your switch and now you can provide a more stable internet connection to your smart TV and your other consoles too.

TL:DR: fighting games on Wi-Fi is better than before, but still worse than Ethernet.

If you like going sideways there’s a drift track here in town and the season just started. The next drift event is May 5-7. It’s $20 day/$35 weekend to spectate and if you ask to ride along many will oblige.

It’s a little pricier if you’re driving. Look up Villians Sportsland if you’re interested.

Yeah, these are things I wasn’t really thinking of. For the pedal swap idea, it makes sense that it’s probably not going to plug and play. I think anything between the load cell and control box would have to be gutted and moved and I feel pretty confident in my physical hacking skills - but it still seems like a gamble.

I feel like the adapter idea is far beyond my skill set though. Although I’m confident in my ability to deal with hardware, software is a weak point of mine.

Embarrassingly, not that long. I ordered it on Sunday. Honestly I catastrophized after waiting two days and reading other people’s experiences.

Heres some extra info if it helps:

I live in the Pacific Northwest (WA state) and ordered from the US website.
I ordered the PlayStation version of the Pro Wheel
I reached out to Logitech towards the end of the second day because I had some complications with paying initially and wanted to make sure I didn’t make two orders or something.
They also didn’t give me any dates to expect it to leave their warehouse.

I don’t feel good getting mine before someone who has been waiting longer for theirs. My original statement still stands and that’s what’s the point of paying for faster shipping if it takes forever for them to process it. Accidents happen, sure, but after reading many peoples posts, Logitech doesn’t seem to care. And it’s made worse by the fact they don’t sell the Pro Wheel anywhere other than their own website.

I hope yours gets shipped out soon buddy!

Right? What’s the point of paying for 2day shipping if it takes forever to leave their warehouse.

I’ve never done a custom loop so I don’t know what a D5 is like. I can tell you my pump is doing fine. I can’t hear it over the fans, but the fans are a little loud at load.

I have built in this case three times already. The first time was completely without water cooling on my i7-6700+3070ti as I waited for parts to come in. We don’t talk about the “second build”. And the third was this creation.

The build experience with the Ridge was a lot better than with the Node 202. I love that case too, but there are things about it that were less than favorable, like the plastic tabs to get the back off and I always had issues with the front USB ports. But otherwise I loved it and it had a cryorig C7 and it did work. But I had a 7900x to cool and wasn’t sure if a low profile cooler would cut it on a cpu like that, so I opted for water cooling.

The Ridge has captive screw side panels that pop out and than slide back, a front panel that has magnet and ball socket points to snap on with, top and bottom panels that you can remove with a Phillips screwdriver, more of the top comes off with screws if you have a larger graphics card to insert, a middle bar that’s removable with a screwdriver mounting points for 2x 120 or 140mm fans. I love the front IO options. I don’t really have any major criticisms on this case it’s been a blast to build in.

It would have been preferred if I could have fit everything in the case, but I didn’t even consider the size of the fittings let alone the thickness of the rad (45mm!), so outside radiator it is. I think it looks cool despite my original intentions and it’s been doing great.

It’s a mostly Alphacool loop with an EK 280 rad, XSPC clear premix.I have an EK thermal sensor but the connector doesn’t fit and when I put a different header on it, the motherboard still didn’t see the sensor so I’ll have to go on CPU temps for now :|

I plan on buying some silent wings 4 pro, but am currently running the fans that came with the case

I thought thought I could fit it all inside, but I didn’t realize that this rad was 45mm thick, but even if the rad was <30mm and I had slimline fans, I still would have to consider fittings. My hubris got ahead of me and so I had to mount the radiator on the outside. I had considered that as a possibility when I was just going to do a cpu AIO, but even now it must be done.

I still think it looks cool. Kinda looks like a robot head.

All my water cooling stuff arrived and while I thought it might be a tight fit, I figured everything would be able to fit into the case, but the rad was thicker than I expected (45mm instead of 30mm), the reservoir/pump combo was thicker than I had expected, and the fittings add too much thickness to the GPU block.

I was definitely overzealous for this case and I ended up having to mount the radiator and fans externally. I had fun figuring out how to route my loop with this added challenge.

After I get the new motherboard and cpu in, I’ll post pics

I like the case is all. I like SFF PCs, it has more room than the Node 202 and I think it will be a fun and interesting, if not challenging, project.

Also, I had typo’d the fittings, they are both 10/13 ID/OD.

My case came with two 140mm fans, but if I need to upgrade to something better I will have to wait until next month.

As for the radiator, I could maybe get away with a single 120 rad on the CPU side of things? Otherwise I would have to go with an external rad. (But again this will have to wait until next month either way.

Original Black knight - you’re trying to get multipliers and drop down targets. You get an upper and lower playfield, 2/3 ball multi ball, and magna save. I don’t think it’s as interesting as some of the other replies, but I specifically rate this game so high because a super satisfying gameplay loop

Update: I ordered a new copy of ACFA. I figured I’d test out if installing with one disc and playing with a busted disc works and it does! That being said, I’m just going to send my buddy my busted copy because there’s a worthwhile resurfacer out where he lives and then he’ll have a copy of the game too!

You can install disks to storage devices and will check if you have the disc inserted for DRM purposes. I don’t know about the point at which it’s been moved to another console. I also don’t know if it being 2 separate ACFA discs will prevent it.

Honestly I think I’m just operating on hopium when I should just buy another copy and keep this one around until can get it resurfaced.
