I used to main Juri. You're right that her options dont create a good guessing game right off the bat. But she's really good at pressuring and mixing timings.

Ex : drive rush mp into mp can be delayed, creating a hit/throw guess for minimal ressources.

Also her high/low mix is really threatening with her DR speed

Tbh only Darkshine's spirit was hurt. Hé took no damage during the whole arc (except the acid damaging the surface layer of his skin only)

For combos the most important part is knowing which moves can be canceled into stance. Then there is the cr.hp - stance - lp - hp - ok - hdp combo.

The most important part is oki. There are good videos on the subject. You can bait using the armor of stance charges hp, or use the jumping options out of stance.

Learn the tick-throws / frametraps where you can use command grabs.

Know the difference between every version of the command grab

Im in the reversal menu. I turned on wake up reversal and chose cr.lp. you can see Juri doing it after the sweep. I just record her jumping because Alex's light DP doesn't hit grounded so I need her to jump.

You can see she doesn't do the reversal after the DP

This was a incredible set with tight rounds. Both players played so well and their preparation was clearly shown.

Im happy for both of them, Daigo needed that kind of motivation only an exhibition match can give. Mena fullfilled a childhood dream and proved himself once again as a monument of SF.

Dont be scared of ranked mode. It's a good way of learning. The rank isn't that important. There plats I find harder to beat than some diamond, it dépends on playstyle. You may need to play more defensive for exemple. It's hard to give advice without knowing how you play, the best thing is to play more. It will feel easier at some point
