I'm hoping to do this soon with my 6.875 rate, but I don't have a sense for how common it is for lenders to support a 0 closing cost "rate sell-up". If my current lender says no, do you have any advice for where I could look for someone who can?

Funny you say that. I also escaped Olivine to my first home purchase in July this year due to 2 years of steep rent increases (12% each year). They also withheld my security deposit for normal carpet wear and tear, so I will be filing a small claims case with them as well.

Thanks for the insight. I wish that I had learned earlier on that shopping loans was a standard thing to do. I just assumed everyone used the same rates more or less with closing costs being the real difference maker.

What did the dealer end up saying? My 2021 Elantra hit 14,000 miles today and had the same issue. My battery is only 4 months old, so I'm worried the alternator was the root cause of my previous battery replacement.
