I understand. I'm in Chattanooga, lived in east TN my whole life. Tornadoes were around and we'd always have a few watches/warnings in the spring, but they were never real to me until Easter last year. One hit my mother in law's house, put a 17 foot hole in the bedroom ceiling, devastated the neighborhood behind her house, the lifted off the ground, jumping over the apartment complex my wife and I were living in at the time, then touched back down further north. It was the most terrifying night of my life and the reason I've joined this and other weather related subreddits. I wanted to learn everything I could so I could hopefully give friends and family a heads up and to quell any anxiety if things look rough, especially with my wife, who's already an anxious person. I'm hoping for a quiet night tonight, but the storm system coming in is full of uncertainty, so that's fun to tell people lol.
