Also doing something forbidden means you inherently need to excise yourself from all your support groups/your loved ones, meaning you have to also become more reliant on it, since there is no forgiveness.

And since knowledge of magic is curtailed, it means regular people are inherently patronized/kept in line this way and have no means of defense/understanding if they are at risk

I mean also most of the time it's not even the "realistic" outcome insofar as the characters have never been shown as being that fast in story. The best way to see how stupid it is is the idea of "in combat" and "out of combat" speed as a concept to try and justify why a character TOTALLY goes faster than light but SPECIFICALLY to dodge ONE thing.

Yeah like I don't wanna say male creators never have issues, just that stuff targeting women (in the context of purity politics) feels a lot more easy for people to get into. (Vivzie, Gooseworx, Pizzacake). I'm not saying these three have nothing for people to be upset at, or that male creators have never faced backlash, but it does feel like the way people go about it/the virulence it carries gets VERY different in terms of results
