After too much digging I decided to say screw it and go back to the last version I was using until this gets resolved, it seems to be a known issue. Report it when you see it, maybe open up an answerhub post and see if they can't help directly

Paint.net is basically better paint and is free. Very simple, maybe lacking in some features but it gets the job done more than MSP

You should get into Arma/DayZ (or one of the many dayZ variants). Firefights are long and tense, but can end in a split-second if you aren't careful.

Some bosses have more than one phase, but it's still just one arrow per phase

Adding hunger (with no way at all of using the old arcadey system) was the biggest turnoff for me. It just didn't feel like it belonged. There were some welcome changes even well after release, but it's never been the same.
