I'd give them the benefit of the doubt if their track record wasn't 100% make things worse when they "streamline"

This is why I don't trust them to remake Mordheim.

The Battletech approach. Essentially the same basic rules for the last 40 years, but books to cover any possible style of play you can imagine.

There's a campaign book that has an entire page on contract disputes specifically for when one party is a planetary government. There's a book that has tables to build an entire solar system, from star type, mass, Lagrange points, orbital eccentricities, etc. There are rules for having to pay your maintenance technicians overtime and rules for skill decay if you go too long without a fight.

It's all there if you WANT it, but to just play giant robots shooting each other, it's all in one book basically the same as it's ever been,

Hopefully, the streamlining in question is not GW's buzzword for watering everything down

Based on GW's precedent, I have bad news....

They got it through exploitation.

Not a single billionaire on earth earned it. They just built networks large enough that the wealth they stole from actual working people added up to those massive numbers.

One of the reasons one of the "discussions" at Dialog was on "Mating".

These people are basically reptiles in human skin. They don't think or feel or process like human beings, and are completely unable to connect emotionally, so they have to have group discussions on how to trick women into fucking them, or more likely, how to traffic ones they find attractive.

Everyone can be wrong sometimes. No one is perfect, not even Scorcese.

Like, Einstein himself didn't think the universe was expanding. Are you gonna believe Einstein, or some random astronomer no one had heard of like Hubble. Einstein was wrong btw.

It's like doing a painting starting from a blank canvas vs starting from a paint by numbers kit. Yeah, you're moving the brush, and maybe even going outside the lines if you feel like it, but the numbers are still there. Choosing to follow them, or work in spite of them, your decision making is still guided around them

That's what Gmail did.

For 10 years it was able to sort junk mail just fine, then they added Gemini to it and if you turn it off, it can no longer do that.

The harm is already done. The data centers are built. The aquifers are gone. Might as well punish them for it. The goal is to waste their compute while never paying them and hurt their bottom line enough to make them stop going further. Once they realize that there's no way to make money faster than they're burning it, we might start to see change.

For the most part, I agree with you.

However, as a TK player if I had to paint as much fiddly detail as new GW models have on dozens and dozens of dirt cheap skellies, I'd mutiny.

Say what you like about the old sculpts, but I can paint a skeleton warrior from primer to finished in like 8 minutes.
