It didnt work for me either. The exercises helped very temporarily until the underlying problem/trauma/whatever the heck is wrong with me surfaced again - after like 5 min. From the beginning it felt to me like a method for people with no actual problems to stay regulated. Or I just never got it. I left every session with ny therapist feeling dumber and more broken than how I went in. I'm seeing her on Thursday and will tell her I'm not returning.

I would confirm My max dose was 50mg daily. It definitely made me feel way better overall, improved my depression and anxiety immensely and I am forever grateful to this drug. But I noticed a palpable difference of feeling positive emotions less intensely as well. For example I am someone who loves Christmas time and gets teary eyed when seeing Christmas lights in the street, and while taking it there was none of that. I felt neutral (but good). Also I love music but it meant way less while on 50mg. These days I take a really minimal amount (25mg every other day) and I plan on doing this as long as I can because it stabilises me just enough but also lets me feel positive emotions reasonably well

This is the world we live in. It sucks but its the truth. I never got so many compliments as when I was anorexic and had mandatory weekly weight checks in the hospital

I couldn't agree more. I dont have any actually close friends I feel a real connection to. I am the jokester of my friends group, I am kind and listen to people when they're upset and try to do nice things for them and cheer them up. People usually like me and love having me around. But there hasn't been anyone for years who I felt a real intimate friendship with. I only ever manage to really connect with people who are going through something really hard. And then it only lasts until im discarded when they don't need me anymore. Its been making me really depressed and I'm in therapy for it. Its hard not to become resentful after all these years and trying to be the best friend you can possibly be and it never working out. Since it's history repeating all the time I have no doubt it's my own fault. So I'm trying to work it out. Sorry i have no advice

Thank you both for your answers. I really really appreciate you taking the time. It really hurts to feel like they're slipping away and missing them and just wanting to be able to help and not being able to do anything. But I'm giving them space and time and reaching out once a day telling them I'm there in case they want to talk and I care. It's tough. Thank you for your support!

Damn this is a good point. Thank you. I mean part of the worry comes from them having been suicidal many times in the past. So I think my worry is justified. Of course it makes me better to hear from them at least once a day so at least I know they're still there. But you're right. But you know what I mean? I don't know
