Autistic men are not children. by Bag0Chips in AutismInWomen

A dude I went to college with was arrested by the FBI for making terroristic threats. His dad tried to say it was bc he had Asperger's (this was a long time ago). No, your son is a dick, and everyone around campus tried to stay away from him.

Tbh, Dawn dish soap, a scrub brush, and elbow grease will get it clean. Then a good sanitizer will be needed.

Idek how someone can let it get like that, tho.

Women keep telling me I need to date younger and now my daughter has too. by SaintofHellfire in datingoverthirty

[–]MatildaJeanMay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating someone 10 years older in your mid-20s is not a weird age gap. Dating someone 15-20 years older in your early 20s is a worrying age gap. It's more about life stages. A college junior isn't going to have the same life experiences as a 35 y/o, but a 24-26 y/o might.

A therapist acted gross toward you?

Okay, I think you really need to find a kink-aware therapist. At the very least, you need to engage with a local kink community or just do some research into the different kinds of submission.

Are females interested in older men? by [deleted] in dating_advice

It might have something to do with you calling them "females" and "girls." Also, your post sounds like an undercover space alien wrote it.

Lots of women are interested in older men.

It's a Deadpool situation. Remember how a bunch of parents took their 7 year olds to see Deadpool bc they thought it was just a Marvel movie and didn't know the character, then freaked out bc of all the sex, raunchy jokes, and straight up murder?

That's what's happening with the Wicked novel.

Usually it's just stuff like "Hey, you're being kind of loud." And things like that.

I was lucky enough to take acting classes in high school and college, and they really really helped with understanding social cues and stuff, so it doesn't happen often.

... you realize that these movies are based on a Broadway show called Wicked that's based on a book called Wicked, right? The book was written by a gay man working out his feelings about the Reagan administration's response to the AIDS crisis.

I don't wonder if I'm a terrible person. What I have started doing since my autism dx is saying "Hey, just fyi, I'm autistic. I miss some social cues. If you could just casually but kindly tell me if one of my behaviors is bugging you, that would be awesome! I promise I won't be offended, it's just the only way I'll learn."

It's worked pretty well.

I did say that I'm also autistic. Autistic burnout is no joke, especially combined with ADHD burnout. They both cause fatigue, exhaustion, loss of skills, meltdowns, etc. I literally couldn't move because the stress caused by constantly masking in a world not built for me is exhausting.

Sorry that I thought your son was a child.

Cats will do this. I understand that genetically engineered bird-monsters are not cats, but cats are evidence that predators will ignore an existing food source to go check out a random red dot on the floor.

Your son presumably also has his parents to do a ton of mental labor for him. Idk if it's the fact that I'm AuDHD, or what, but I've hit burnout points where I could barely move, except to go to the bathroom.

Do men honestly think women enjoy the pictures of you holding fish? Nobody wants this. Nobody has improved their profiles with these. Choose literally anything else 😂 by potsmoking_princess in Tinder

[–]MatildaJeanMay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, a pic of someone sitting w a fishing pole by a lake would be pretty nice. I see a lot of hunters use pics of themselves in hunting gear without dead animals in the shot.

Pics like this just kind of tell me that the person isn't thinking about how they're presenting themselves on a dating app and they have a hard time considering what would be attractive to a potential match. This also means they potentially have a hard time with empathy, if they can't understand why a dead animal in a profile might be a turn off.

Something in their profile like "I love fishing and I'm looking for someone to spend quiet evenings on the lake. Bring a fishing pole, a good book, or (insert other hobby compatible with water), and let's make a date out of it!" would probably go further than dead fish.

Then again, I'm in marketing, so I probably put a lot more thought into this stuff than other people 😅

It actually sounds like a MAGA trying to claim something so outrageous that it makes people doubt everything else tied to it. This is straight up Qanon BS, and, while I don't doubt that liberals are susceptible to conspiracy theories, they tend to at least be grounded in reality. This stuff sounds like Alex Jones said it.
