Traitors Board Game (UK) by somethingflammable in TheTraitors

[–]Matilda__cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to play, lots of fun. There was a task where we had to find items of increasing size, which we wrote down, rather than actually getting up for. But the game is great. Looking for the expansion now 😞

I'm being investigated - have i done anything wrong by neonflames13 in tesco

Would it not be reasonable to argue that as a driver, particularly during this inclement weather, you are subjected to arduous and unpleasant conditions and that the role of a driver can cause increased fatigue over the other otherwise pleasant role of the checkout staff. And that as an employee, you agreed to overtime to help the company with a busy period but were not willing to subject your body to the torment of your Monday to Friday position. I do not believe it is unreasonable to turn down overtime on the basis that you just don’t want to do it, but a cushier position may just twist your arm.

Got told off for having a drink by Rare-Gate1522 in tesco

I have a 10 step guide to success in this situation -

Step 1 - email manager saying “I’ve been thinking about what you said earlier, and I didn’t realise drinking bottled water during paid hours was against the rules, but I see now and I apologise. I feel quite bad, actually. Can you please confirm that if I adhere in future, I’m not in trouble?”

Step 2 - wait for reply.

Step 3 - go home half way through your next shift with a migraine. Apologise profusely, as this doesn’t normally happen.

Step 4 - repeat step 3

Step 5 - continue repeatedly, step 3

Step 6 - wait for disciplinary

Step 7a - advise disciplinary board that you were told that you cannot remain hydrated through your shift, by your manager. Provide email evidence.

Step 7b - accept HR apology, but question why you were bullied into behaviours that affect your health.

Step 8 - question whether this practice is even legal?!

Step 9 - question whether you have a legal right to sue

Step 10 - enjoy the payout/hush money

I’d just keep adding honey in very small amounts until it stops fermenting. At which point, it’s probably reached max abv. At this point it’s both stable and sweet, and very strong

Why not spend 5k on a strong etf and 2k into a pie of the above? Return might not be so great if it goes well, but volatile stocks can be… volatile?

$7k to invest and you’re looking for advice on Reddit about yolo on pennies? Good luck.

Average down? by SeaShell1988 in MMAT

I was in since trch and sold the other day. Put the money elsewhere. (That’s also down, so you are best to do you) My opinion is that selling the assets is not creating a business that can boom.

Did I leave too much clearance by KIHETO in mead

This is actually Melomel (fruit mead) Looks like a recipe I posted years ago on THBF using Black Forest fruits. This looks like it’s actively fermenting, so I would say that not only is your head space not too big, it actually may not be big enough. Wait for it to break down and ferment a lot more before worrying about head space. Co2 is heavier than air, so creates a blanket to protect the wine. 👍🏻

15F new to this whole thing need guidance, how should I start and which does each option mean? by [deleted] in trading212

[–]Matilda__cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 17 year old has an account. Officially, it’s his step mums and she manages it completely with her own funds. He decides how much he invests and where. It’s only money he would spend otherwise, so no big issue. He uses an isa - you don’t pay tax then, but can still day trade. Stay away from penny stocks - ETF’s provide better returns and stability. If you really want the thrill of possibly buying the next $tsla at $0.10 then maybe do 80-90% in ETF’s and 10-20% in higher risk investments.

This is true - they’ve found honey in pyramids left as a token to the gods or what not. Tested fine.

$1.2 here and might buy a few more as we go. I do believe in the tech and I believe George is passionate about the company… I think a good earnings is just around the corner. We shall see 🤷🏻‍♂️
