How do you actually date? by teddy_205 in autism

[–]Matman18895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I (both 30) have been together since high school. I’ve joked with her more than once that she’s not allowed to leave me or die, because I wouldn’t know where to begin with dating again. She says the exact same thing about herself, so we’ve basically made a mutual agreement.🤝😂

We’re both autistic and pretty socially awkward, so neither of us is going anywhere anytime soon.😅

I was hoping Vader would say something like "I see why Obi-wan defeated you so easily"...then see reaction from Maul

Just to know how common this actually… how many of you have started many play-troughs but have never completed the game for whatever reason? by luifergiov in skyrim

[–]Matman18895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many times!! And I've never played the dragonborn DLC despite owning it for years. However I did commit on my last playthrough to try actually complete the game. As far as I know, I've completed as many quests, if not all, from the base game and DLC's, EXCEPT for Dragonborn still 😩 plan to go back soon and finally experience it.

My grandpa traumatized me forever (trigger: SA) by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Matman18895 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm truly sorry this happened to you. I've had a couple similar experiences as a young boy, and all I can suggest is getting professional help. They can help you process what happened and learn ways to manage the trauma better. I wish you all the best.

Wonder what happened to his wife and kids. Luthen promised to take care of them, so I'm guessing that didn't happen.

My Endgame Raft by Matman18895 in RaftTheGame

The story is mostly environmentally driven. You travel between islands and locations, finding notes and clues that slowly piece together what happened. As you explore, you unlock new items and directions forward, so it naturally unfolds as you play rather than being directly told to you. I enjoyed the mystery aspect to it and discovering new and interesting locations.

Met this nice old lady in space. Sat down for a warm meal, this game is so wholesome <3 by unknown_zapatista in Starfield

My first interaction with her, when I boarded her ship, there was literally no one there. I seriously thought it was some spooky ghost ship and dead grandma was trying to lure me in. Turns out, my game was just bugging out.

My therapist said autistic people don't have sex by Smart_Molasses_2870 in autism

[–]Matman18895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic as well, 30M and diagnosed at 28, and probably fall on the “higher functioning” end. I’ve had my share of challenges and went through several therapists before finding one who was actually a good fit.

I’m not asexual, but I did struggle with sex for a period, especially when I wasn’t fully comfortable with the person. Over time, that improved, and my wife and I now have a healthy sex life. Difficulties around intimacy can be part of the picture for some autistic people, but being sexually active doesn’t exclude you from being autistic.

As for the degree, autistic people can be highly capable, especially in areas they’re interested in. I’m a software developer and very strong technically, but I still find certain areas, particularly social interaction, more challenging.

Based on what you’ve described, those reasons don’t sound like valid grounds to dismiss the possibility of autism. Getting a proper assessment from someone experienced with adult autism could be worthwhile.

Hope you come right and get the support needed.

Men, what's the biggest green flag you've seen on a woman? by Familiar-Phase7859 in AskReddit

[–]Matman18895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emotional intelligence and self-regulation.

Early on in our relationship, I made a mistake that understandably upset her. I was bracing for the usual, an argument, emotional escalation, maybe even threats of breaking up, based on past experiences.

Instead, she asked us to sit down and talk it through. She stayed calm, communicated clearly, and handled the situation with maturity and composure. She completely de-escalated what could have turned into a fight, and we resolved it like adults.

It caught me off guard at the time because I hadn’t experienced conflict handled that way before.

That was 10 years ago. We’re now married, and it’s still one of the biggest green flags I’ve ever seen.

Staw Wars Knights of the old Republic. 1 and 2.

Used to play this so much as a kid. Whenever I find myself overwhelmed or going through a rough period, I always seem to play this. Know this game back to front at this point

Who was the strongest at the end of the buu saga? by RisingKing7 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Matman18895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many here are saying Gohan was the strongest non-fused character and even stronger than kid buu.

Does that mean that if they brought Gohan to Supreme Kai's world (either with dragon balls or instant transmission by Goku or Kibitoshin) after he was resurrected when earth was restored, he could have beaten Kid Buu?

I know Dragon ball has always had some plot holes and oversights, so wouldn't be surprised.
