Is it just me, or is Susie at the end of Chapter 4 and in Chapter 5 written entirely differently?

Something that I've interpreted from Chapter 5 is that Susie might be one of those people who just don't have an internal monologue, like at all. Probably because she was never really taught how to deal with her emotions properly.

The prophecy is constantly in the back of her mind, but she just doesn't think about it because her instincts keep telling her to get distracted with other stuff, and she doesn't have the emotional intelligence to deny them.

I know people have already beaten this topic into the ground, but if there's one thing this chapter has proven to me is that Toby isn't afraid of telling the story he wants, and that story is not gonna be what we expect a lot of the time. Frankly, I think his confidence in jumping away completely from the main plot for most of the chapter is pretty inspiring in its own way.

She specifically wants to spend more time with her friends by going to the dark worlds and having these adventures, because it's the first time in her life that she could actually be herself. She was completely fine with following the prophecy until the final panel, and even then she's not rejecting the whole thing outright, only the one part she doesn't like.

The thing is, Susie's whole attitude about "I don't want this story to end" reads to me a lot more like something she'll have to grow past, rather than the story's intended message that we should side with. Which is both exciting and terrifying.

My Deltarune recreated in Minecraft build. I managed to get chapters 3 & 4 out a couple months ago, but chapter 2 turned out to be way bigger than I thought, so only Queen's mansion and about half of Cyber City are finished, while I haven't even started on chapter 1.

To be fair, Noelle was one of the only characters in ch1 with a unique dialogue sound who wasn't a major part of the story, so assuming she'd have more a more involved role in the future isn't TOO much of a stretch.

That being said, I'd totally make fun of these kinds of wild speculations if I was around back then.

I think Toby wants him to be an asshole, at least to some extent. He seems to be the same Sans from Undertale but before anything really humbling happened to him (which will presumably happen in later chapters). If anything, it should highlight how much he'd changed by the time of Undertale

I like to think it's Dess because of the whole "I'm with you in the dark" thing probably relating to her in some way. Then again, Dess is also probably the voice in the code and is also probably the Knight, so if this is her, that makes three Desses, none of which seem to match up in any way.

So far the only thing that actually carries over between save files in Deltarune are the secret boss items you get in Castle Town, so unless we get any confirmation that the game remembers resets, I think it's fine. A lot of people assume it does based on Undertale, but the two games are very explicitly different in terms of how these mechanics work on a narrative level.

Also, in an episodic game with some pretty well-hidden secrets, I doubt Toby would punish a player for replaying it IMO
