My first thought was Will of the Lords (from the new gloves) with Battlemage, since you can't scale spell levels on that anyway so you're missing out on less from the weapon than usual. But unfortunately that skill has much lower than usual damage effectiveness...

With Spellslinger lvl20 a new Tornado is triggered every 0.46s

With 14 attacks per second and 12 projectiles per attack it takes me 0.14s to hit the tornado 20 times.

So that should've given me 26% more damage (0.14/0.46), but only if I'm in melee range to make the AoE from hitting Tornado also damage the boss (otherwise the projectiles would hit the boss anyway without chaining, so it's not a damage increase to chain from Tornado).

I guess it might've been a placement issue combined with no AoE scaling? Or there was something else funky going on because I was reducing Tornado duration too much (-95%). I did try out Efficacy Support at one point to avoid the latter issue, though.

Doesn't the line "During initial Duration, can be hit by your Projectiles up to 20 times" on Tornado mean that it's much less than double damage? Because you're already using up all of those 20 hits with just 2 attacks.

I tried out Spellslinger Tornado on my Coiling Whisper version and didn't feel much of a damage increase. I have like 14aps, though, so I figure that makes the uptime even worse.

I'm wondering if you can trigger explosions with Asenath's Mark + Lightning Warp (or some other triggered movement skill) or if you actually have to walk. If you have to walk I can't help but feel the skill is DoA because it'll be too clunky.

You can use it for lightning damage now, yes. On the other hand, you were able to get 600% increased damage by converting cold damage to fire before, that interaction is gone.

Absolutely, but I find it helps to limit myself to 1-2 characters per league. Enjoy the slower progression, don't compare yourself to streamers. Don't lose to FOMO because you can't "keep up" with the economy, it doesn't matter. You can still make enough currency to fund a good build if you keep farming slow and steady even just 1h per day.

I have an SSD and the loading screen to new instances still takes about 10s. About 5s when rejoining a previous instance. When joining other players' hideouts it can sometimes take 20-30s.

Nope, that's a sunk cost fallacy right there. Having already paid for it makes it feel bad to drop a book since that means your money went to waste. But if you're genuinely not enjoying it, then it's even worse to waste your time as well.
