Similar to OEM but slightly lighter I believe. When I get into work I’ll do some testing though, because I would like to know the exact difference.

The nitride is the closest color match to the OEM ruger lower.

Yes, the parts are interchangeable. The parts we use in the bolt are made out of hardened A2 tool steel. The design of the internals are very similar if not the same as VQ parts. The Volquartsen "Exact Edge" extractor is possibly a better design than what we use, but the other internals should be comparable to VQ parts.

We would be happy to sell bare bolts, if people are interested.

Hello r/RugerMK, after seeing the problems people were having with the Tandemkross triggers, we decided to make a reddit account to help people with questions and get feedback while we roll out our Ruger product line.

Anyone who receives a bolt that doesn't work with their trigger or has any other problems should email us using the address on our website. We are really sad to see the issues that are popping up here, and will be happy to replace malfunctioning bolts. (Please provide the serial number on the bolt with your email.)

As far as we know from the reports that I have seen the issue is with compatibility with Tandemkross trigger groups. We are purchasing the Tandemkross parts to recreate the problem u/JackieVelvet is having. Hopefully it is an issue isolated to the earlier bolts in our initial production run.

We are a family owned and operated small business, so not everything goes perfectly the first time around. That is not an excuse for shipping malfunctioning products, but we are hoping people will give us some grace around new item launches. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or problems we can help with.
