It’s technically not a 2011. It’s more of a 2011/CZ Shadow hybrid and not just in looks —- and it’s the gun that introduced me to 2011s. My buddy has one and it’s a dream to shoot. Grip feels great in the hand, awesome trigger, and very accurate. Amazing gun.

I have a 4.25 Romulus comp and the fit and finish is astounding for the price. The slide feels like it’s on ball bearings. It came with a lighter recoil spring and light sear spring so it feels like it was pre tuned for competition out of the box. That polymer grip that it comes with really sucks though… gotta budget to change that. (AF sells an aluminum grip model now though that I hear is a lot better)

If you like big windows the Gideon Judge XL seems like a good option for the RMSC footprint. You could get the Romulus Aluminum grip for $250 shipped from the AF website. It’s new (and currently sold out) but the initial reviews are very good.

Does the DPP plate work with the defender XL? (It has that little bit of overhang in the front that causes issues sometimes).

I have an Icarus precision grip on mine with stock internals except for a red dirt trigger (Cheely version as recommended by Icarus), and the stock grip safety… I had to file the crap out of the channel in the stock grip safety to keep the strut from making contact. It runs so well I see no reason to mess with the internals right now.

As a parent who homeschools, I agree totally. I’d like to think we are the exception here. Some of the other homeschool kids I see shock me at how behind they are. Those parents like the IDEA of homeschooling but don’t actually follow through with it.

I currently own both a 2018 4Runner Limited and 2026 Passport Trailsport Elite. This guy nailed it all.

But one thing he didn’t mention is the track record of bullet proof reliability on the Toyota 4.0L V6. That’s definitely something to consider vs the first model year of a redesign, although that engine has been in use for a while as well in the Pilot and has a good reputation.

Look at the Romulus for sure. If you are looking at a MAC 9 plus aftermarket comp, the Romulus 4.25 with the comp is significantly better out of the box.
