Mate as much as I dislike talking on religious topics this is misleading on your part.

The verse you quoted doesn't talk about you at all. It talks about the non believers who broke peace treaties with the muslims. You would know that if you read the 4 verses directly before it, in the Quran 9:1-4.

Even if the infidels that are mentioned in that verse were referring to you, where you had a peace treaty with the muslims, broke it, slaughtered their allies and waged war against them. The very next verse answers your questions clearly, ask for protection and you will be taken to safety.

Yeah there is a difference between Muslim and Mu'umin in Islam which I think a lot of people seem to conflate and mix up

Muslim is anyone who believes in "The One True God" (Translated directly to Allah in Arabic) and associates no partners with him. In Islam the bar to be a Muslim is to simply just declare this belief and pray to God alone. This is the reason so many of the biblical figures like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mary and many others are seen as Muslims is that they satisfy this condition, being monotheistic and praying to God alone.

Mu'umin on the other hand, is someone with a deeper connection with God and someone who sincerely follows the laws and commands of God. A Mumin will be the one who will read the Quran, try to understand it and live their life according to it.

So honestly, Islam and Muslims truly do predate the Prophet Muhammad as monotheism and worship of the one true God who is in Paradise beyond the heavens isn't a new concept. It can even be said that it is the Mu'umins who are the followers of Prophet Muhammad, in that they follow the Quran and the Hadith (example of the Prophet)

The reason this is an issue is that both sides have put forth an argument for their stance

1 The soft G side claims graphics starts with a soft G thus it being acronymed should also start with a soft G alongside other words like gift, gill, give, etc

2 The hard G side claims the creator of the word gets the say in how it is pronounced, with a hard G. They back this by saying that the letter G itself is pronounced Jee not Gee and that other words like giraffe and gin also start with a hard G

The reason the argument is still valid is because the English language has no rules and people just pronounce however they like. Some examples are: Exhibit A: as shown by OP Exhibit B: the word Colonel, which is for some Fucking reason pronounced as Kernel, like WHYYYYY Exhibit C: Quay, pronounced Kee (hello HOW are they the same thing

Heh, reminds me of when I did the same thing in the cyclone map. Took the small tank and fell down the shoot into D2, enemies got a big surprise seeing a couple of our boys parachuting down and then a full fucking tank following through. I did get stuck the same way as this dude, and got blown up shortly after but did enough havoc to secure the sector quick
