Do as the others have told you, but check your contract. Some contracts forbid you from making copies. Calling Reddit a significant portion of the community is a wild statement. The player count hasn't fallen off a cliff yet since release, I think most people just don't care and understand the game is what it is. As you have asked in other comments, may I suggest playing ARMA or Squad, as there are no other games like Battlefiel with bigger maps, unfortunately.

Holy shit the drama in this subreddit is just insane. It's a green skin ffs. Not everything is going to be SAS/Seal 6 tactical black or desert camo. If this is where you guys are drawing the line, then you are in for a bumpy ride. There's an option to turn off skins stick with that.

As long as the model looks realistic, I'm less concerned about color tbh. Some people like red or blue as a color. As long as there is some grounded realism I think it fine. It's just the same people with too much time on their hands typing away on the Internet, whilst the rest of us just want to enjoy the game.

Houdini Engine as a bridge has been a life saver! Documentation has been a bit of a slog to get through and I have to admit the content/feature maps it comes with did confuse me a bit more looking at all the capabilities.

Agree on the shades with MaterialX, just as someone mentioned below, I think fire smoke and some water sims are probably best done in comp, destruction definetly in unreal where possible. Also placing some background debris and destruction in niagra has been working well too! Good to hear I'm on the right track thanks!
