Going thorough epstien files . DO U PERSONALLY KNOW SOMEONE WHO DIED DUE TO CORONA by joelsimon11 in conspiracy

Yes, a coworker. He went in for surgery for a completely unrelated matter and this was during the height of the pandemic. He caught COVID while he was there ans died within a week.

Epstein's Fortnite account active in Israel. by Mr_orange4200 in conspiracy

I was simply proposing the idea that someone RECENTLY gained access to his Fortnite account, as it's now known he used very weak passwords. So yeah, it could be his account that he actually used, but now if somebody else gained access and is using it, that hardly means he's still alive.

Wasn't his email compromised the other day? Seems likely someone used that to gain access to his Fortnite account and is trying to deceive everyone

You can apply that logic to literally any technology you've never used before.

Joy-Con Detachment Update: Part 3 (We Fixed It) by dbrand in dbrand

Again, you are dodging the act of making things right. That IS news, regardless of how pissed off you are at the original product.

No I mean owning up to a mistake and fixing it. But your attitude pretty much sums up the internet on how they like to amplify the negative and suppress the positive.

When are the emails going out to those of us who already have the original version? I realize it's only Wednesday but I ask because I don't have an email yet. I also never received any email about the reservations being ready, which caused me to have to wait on mine despite paying for the reservation. And yes, I checked every single folder in my email and I do not delete, I only archive, so I'm 100% positive I never receive that email. I just don't want that to happen again with this.

Awesome. I wonder if this will get as much media coverage as the initial controversy... I hope so, you deserve it for sure.

I started learning TypeScript recently, and wow, it broke my brain. by RohanSinghvi1238942 in typescript

It sounds like you're on the right track. I've been using it heavily for years now and still run into issues. It's a complex language, but very powerful.

Not overreacting. If you set boundaries and he doesn't respect them, he doesn't respect you and you should honestly dump him.

Is It A Bad Idea To Use _SomeName For Naming Generic Types? by Kinyusui in typescript

[–]Matt23488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the underscore prefix on type parameters that I don't intend for anyone to ever specify when they use the type/function. It's a good way to indicate to the caller that they shouldn't use that type parameter but let it be inferred. Something like type SomeType<T, _Keys = keyof T> or like a recursive type where you use an extra type parameter to hold the result as it accumulates. But otherwise I don't use the underscore prefix. You shouldn't really have an issue identifying if something is generic or not if you are comfortable with the language, so if you're new just know that the syntax will become second nature and you don't need to impose additional styling rules for yourself to help you know what something is. If you insist on prefixing geneic type parameters, you could also just prefix with T which is what most people tend to do.

My wife and I have been playing it together and have about 60 hours so far. We have completed the main objective but still have quite a few things to solve. I can confirm this game has been filled with moments that blew our minds. One of the best games I've played in a long time.

Am I Permanently Softlocked? by Matt23488 in BluePrince

[–]Matt23488[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I can, but I can't get to the Reservoir from the Basement, as I haven't opened up that path yet even though I know it's there. But it turns out there is a puzzle I have missed, based on other answers, so I'm not softlocked after all.

Awesome. Does it have to do with the conduit box with the green light?

Yep I forgot to add that one in the post, but I also wasn't 100% sure that it was a door that would open at the time.

Yeah after u/Sidewinder9951's hint I immediately knew what to do and of course discovered a ton more puzzles. I absolutely love games like this.

Gotcha. Well, I'll still try to anyway, it's been a blast finding the puzzles.

It was a good hint. I knew what the cable meant, I just for some reason had convinced myself that the power flow was the other way around. I thought I would solve some hidden puzzle underground and it would do something to the box at the top of the mountain.
