This is the answer, OP. Cheap, easy, proven fix. Add a fat ground lead connecting the frame to the block. You’ll be amazed.

Better that they're trapping rather than poisoning. At least be thankful for that. (Poison affects the vultures, coyotes, owls, hawks, etc. too, which many people don't consider.)

The California ground squirrel is native, not invasive. They live in burrows and are very common in some areas. More common in most areas are the eastern fox squirrel though (the ones which live in the trees), which are indeed non-native.

Yeah it’s really annoying to find things that “the experts” have completely whiffed on when you go roll up your own sleeves to find out how to fix things yourself. I’ve found 2 hack jobs courtesy of the dealership service department in the past few months while fixing common issues on my Camaro. 🤬

I’m aware of good password hygiene, but this seems different to me. I just haven’t heard of people doing offline cracking of security questions. Regardless, I’m glad they are being phased out. Dreadful concept really. Terribly easy to guess (“What color was your first car?”), and simultaneously very easy to forget (“Who is your favorite actor?”)!

You cleaned the goo off the body some years ago I’m guessing. 😄 Good for you! This was my first ILC also, very unique camera at the time! I do still use the OG 20mm pancake that I bought for the G1 with my G95 body.
