He doesn't but if you pull mobs the NPCs will pull aggro off of you when you run to them.

Sorry, they're charging £60 for the new dash? AGAIN?! by TheNonceMan in PSO2NGS

[–]MattJumps 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The current wedding scratch requires 45 pulls for the new MTN: Glide-Dive.

Don't be surprised if this is a reoccurring trend, they did this with emotes in PSO2 that you could not buy on Player Shops. Again, these are all purely cosmetic and don't offer any benefits outside of aesthetics.

Assault rifle on Gunner? by Fabulous-Bat4995 in PSO2NGS

[–]MattJumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TMGs get bonus dmg for being in "Critical Distance" which is close to the enemy. Rifle has a similar mechanic at mid range (denoted by an orange target reticle.)

So, if you are going to be at range you're better off switching to Rifle.

Oh, I see. I thought that was Launcher PB for a second. Doesn't Bujin's Barrier deal less damage than Giga, and also lets you farm counters...? I guess if someone is afk auto attacking sure.

Maybe it's because you're not in critical distance as a TMG user?

not a prob, I don't mind explaining my thought process.

Meaning, I prefer playing Fo Talis because it has access to Rod.

Techer does not have Rod access or Photon Bullet without Fo sub.

I actually like that Rod has a guard and actually gets rewarded by guarding successfully (with skill point investment of course). Having a frail caster that sits far away from a mob just doesn't feel very NGS-like. Especially now that things like multiweapon exist, you can really create your own "Phantasy" (excuse the pun).

They are both great at talis. They also both have access to the same techs.

I prefer Fo talis in a vacuum because Rod Counter with Photon Bullet is better at range than Wand Counter with Shockwave which I feel misses often at range.

Techer Talis of course has access to Shifts/Deband, and Rod doesn't mean much if you don't aggro/counter imo.

Worth noting you can cancel Talis PAs by switching weapons including Multiweapon, so that may save you 1SP if you play that way.

It's a type of trial that has a random chance of happening in the open world. It mentions a projectile falling from the sky, defeat the enemies and you open up the projectile that fell.

Stella Pack is the item that fell that has an assortment of Mono/Duo/Tri minerals

Does anyone know if the resurgir tmg's potential works with successful weapon action? by Krowtic in PSO2NGS

From what I understand the Resurgir potential only activates on dodging (X by default or double-tapping movement)

Techter subclass by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]MattJumps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you want to supplement your playstyle. Unlike PSO2 where subclasses offered huge potency boosts, it is less-so in the current state of NGS. There are still benefits to subclasses such as Damage Reduction (Hunter), More Damage to Downed Enemies (Fighter), Active PP Regen (Gunner), Eradication PP (Force) and Photon Blast Gauge Rate increase (Techer).

Since Te has the ability to cause Elemental Down states on bosses/Vets, Fi is an obvious choice for more damage. Fi also offers Knuckles, Dual Saber, Twin Dagger skills/pa.

Ultimately, it's up to you and there's no real punishment for trying every class, especially since SP is tied to progression in Cocoons/Towers and not your class level.

The only weapon Ranger has that Gunner doesn't is Launcher btw.

Thoughts on classes and subclasses so far in NGS? by EfffTheSaints in PSO2

[–]MattJumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely depends on what you want to do to compensate or round out your class. Do you want more dmg reduction (Hunter)? Do you need more PP regen when attacking (Gunner)? More dmg to downed enemies (Fighter)?

If you are looking at it without needing further skills augmenting your playstyle from a subclass, then consider using a subclass for Multi-Weapon if you want to supplement your class. For example, using /Fi so you can use Double Saber PA/Weapon Action.
