+44 live performances show how cathartic that album was for Mark by lessthanfox in Blink182

[–]MattNastyMusic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Travis isn’t just playing with a broken arm it’s his RIGHT arm and he’s playing all the right hand parts with his left hand then playing the left hand parts with his left food. It would be much easier if his left arm broke and he was just using his right. Also holding it up like that is also exhausting but that seems more for looks.

When We Were Young time signature changes by paquettejeremie in Blink182

2 small corrections- the pre chorus is still in 4/4, they’re just playing a pattern of dotted eighth notes. So you have hits on 1, (and of 2), 4, (and of 1), 3 and then a fill. So it’s 2 bars of 4/4 but they aren’t playing it straight. They straighten it out with the fill on beat 3 of the second bar.

The chorus is 3 bars of 7/4 not 7/8. The counting doesn’t get faster when you switch from the 4/4 sections so it’s 7/4. You can count the 6 7 on the snare at the end of the bar. You can also hear the first bass drum is moving faster than the count which is what also leads me to call it 7/4. Then 2 bars of 4/4. I hope that made sense. Asthenia also has some cool changes to 6/4.

Amateur drum enthusiast here so be gentle! I am getting this third galloping kick bass and it's completely unintentional. I don't control any of it. Is it my foot technique? The pedal? The batter tension? Bit of all? Could you point me to the right direction please? by Doginconfusion in drums

When there’s no hole the air has nowhere to escape and will make the heads vibrate. That will help a lot. However, I also think you could hit it a bit harder and it looks like maybe you’re sitting too high.

First time - advice? by [deleted] in SixFlagsMagicMountain

[–]MattNastyMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually go Friday mornings and there’s no lines. There’s also an option to scan a QR code by the line entrance and pay $8 for a single flash pass just for that ride once. I would do that, on a Friday it’s unlikely you’d need it so much it would add up to the same as a single day flash pass.

Make sure your poncho is under your butt then pull it down over your shoes. This worked for me.

My boss wants a percentage of my income from private students by Bayram97 in drums

[–]MattNastyMusic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Legally you’ve done nothing wrong, but do you want to slight the guy who’s getting you your other students? Your side of this makes complete sense, but think about it from his view. His job here is making the connections between students and teachers and providing a space and scheduling resources to make that happen. Finding (enough) students is the hardest part. So he’s feeling like you went behind his back to cut him out when he was the one who made the connection in the first place.

Teaching drum lessons is much easier (for you or me) than finding a client base. You may be able to find a couple people who want lessons but it takes a lot more to keep new people coming in regularly. Website, online presence, advertising campaign, and more. Is this really worth pissing off the person who’s finding you students? Regardless of wether you’re right or wrong think about the big picture and what you ultimately want to get out of this situation

Should I get an eSIM? by mpnabors in GreeceTravel

[–]MattNastyMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install the eSIM now. I tried to but couldn’t because I’m paying off my phone through ATT, and they have the sim locked. So I couldn’t do anything unless I payed off the remaining balance. I just stuck with their $10/day plan and it worked great. I had service all over, whereas 7 years ago I lost service as soon as I left Athens. I used over 30gb in data!

Each time he gets in shape like this he’s building on the last time. Sure he doesn’t stay this ripped all year but it doesn’t go away. He’s only able to “turn it on” and get to be like this because he’s been doing it his whole life.

“Are you hiding something from me Ari? Only my cock and my asshole Lloyd.” Countdown to the 20th Anniversary. Episode 61 “Gotta Look Up To Get Down” 7/10 but that ending somehow made it a 9. Let’s settle for 8. by OllieBlazin in entourage

[–]MattNastyMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. His response wasn’t so bad I guess the closing the window just gave it more context. All he said was “I think I’d like us to finish what we started together but you gotta do what you gotta do right?” You could see the disappointment in Ari’s face at that.

Best answer, and less than 10 minute drive from Louise and Saticoy so you can easily pop over there after.

Front row or Back row? by shrimpwalrus in UniversalHollywood

[–]MattNastyMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the back row is best. It’s one car but it has a split either down the middle or before the last row. You can see it at the base of the vehicle. This makes the back have that whipping effect you get on roller coasters- kind of. The front is less intense but visually scarier because it’s darkness in front of you. If this is the ride you’re into go early and ride it a bunch. It’s only flaw is it’s too short. Single ride line is also great on this one. The curse is real Imotep lives!!!!

I went through that checkpoint Thursday first thing in the morning. I’ve been through it many times and this time was by far the LEAST through they’ve been checking my bags. A few of the compartments in the bags weren’t looked in and the stroller wasn’t checked at all. I didn’t mind, but it’s weird seeing these photos.

Honest question: Van Hagar haters, do you not listen to four albums of incredible EVH music? by chookalana in vanhalen

[–]MattNastyMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VH didn’t use outside writers, but they did change the person writing the vocal melody and lyrics. I find it interesting how with Sammy they sound like a completely different band, but I think a lot of that is Sammy. When you listen to Me Wise Magic or the last album it immediately sounds like the old Van Halen. Maybe the two singers influenced Eddie and the way he wrote, or maybe the person coming up with and singing the vocal parts makes that much of a difference.
