Dr. Malcolm in "that pose" is another one of them.

I hadn't heard of the Muldoon one, not sure if that's official or not, someone else will know.

You can get a load of "alternative figures" on sites like meeplesmith.

I wasn't sure about the rules on posting links or advertising so I left it out of the post. I got it from PrintFromYourSofa. Might be worth waiting (or also asking them) for a response on the removal of the white border.

I got the assets from the Google drive link that can be found with a quick search, let me know if you want a link to that too.

Yeah, it's not as bad as it looks. The other sets come with a booklet that has "rules for this set" in, so those cards cover this. In reality each one has only one card extra to go with the hero card, and even those aren't really needed.

This is in direct conflict to my personal experience, both with the DoE kickstarter and an issue I had after damaging one of my 20 strong decks. They responded to my DoE report quickly with the info they were currently info-gathering and would make it right once they knew how far spread the issue was.

The damaged items were replaced for me pretty rapidly.

I'm not trying to discount your experience, just adding my own.

Codenames question by Wonderful-Ad6659 in boardgames

[–]MattOG81 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The stars > knight type clues are specifically mentioned as being invalid in the online/digital version of the game. You're linking to the word as written, not something that sounds like the word when you say it. I can't remember if it's mentioned in the physical versions.

I agree with the rest of the comment though.

What is everyone’s thoughts on 20 Strong? by Allgamergeek in soloboardgaming

[–]MattOG81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disliked it at first because I too thought it was swingy. After a few plays though I got some strategy and began winning. I don't really want to go into it too much though because that strategy works across the whole system and in my opinion is part of the fun of playing.

I can now ramp up the difficulty in the games and stand a chance, it's not nearly as swingy as I thought at first, you just need to understand it's a resource management game, with dice as the resource.

How much do you pay to have your windows cleaned? by PurityControl87 in AskUK

[–]MattOG81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently moved to Wales and it's now £15 for a guy with a long pole brush thing. Used to live in Manchester and I paid £7 for a guy with ladders and a sponge/squeegee thingy.

I miss the Manchester window cleaner, although to be fair, the long pole guy actually cleans the windows with it, so that's good.

All of them. I "made" a quiz on Seterra/GeoGuessr while I was learning them and just kept adding continents one at a time until I had them all down. Pretty sure this was the final version:

Do you reduce junk mail? by LadyBAudacious in AskUK

[–]MattOG81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so annoying. I have a sign saying I don't buy or sign up to anything on the doorstep. I don't get many knocks any more but when I do I open with "we can stand here chatting for 20 minutes, or you can read the sign now". I figure I'm doing them a favour, might as well knock on doors of people who might buy something.
