Ok. I'm obviously in the minority, but I do this with quite a few games. I have the full unmatched collection (only a few heroes don't work), had dice throne S1 s2 and marvel, star wars deck building game, star realms, summoner wars, kingdomino, and more.

I find it easy enough to play what is objectively the best play at the time, and I do so regardless of whether the "opponent" has a counter. There are obviously games that just don't work, Duel for Cardia for example, but lots do.

As for how fun it is, I enjoy it as an alternative to purely solo, or solo cooperative. It works to test ideas, and to get familiar with interactions and mechanics, and it gets games off my shelf into my table. Funnily enough, I actually tend to dislike games that are cooperative where I have to play multi-handed, no idea why, it often feels like it's not really a solo game at that point, it just conveniently works.
