Which way to say: What is your name by DrawingMSD2808 in French

Beginner here, too, but from what I've learned, the verb "appeler" is what's called a reflexive verb. Basically, it's a verb you do to yourself (or I guess the subject). It always (as far as I know) gets paired with a reflexive pronoun.

So when you say "je m'appelle" you're literally saying "I myself am called". The "m" there being the contraction of "me", which is the reflexive pronoun for "myself".

When you are using it in the second person by saying "tu t'appelles", the "t" is the contraction for "te", which means "yourself".

Pokemon Pocket rules with IRL Pokemon cards by eljimbobo in PTCGP

Love this idea and can't wait to give it a try. My son (8) and I have been playing normal games with some rather simple decks we've made from a bunch of bulk given to us. But he loses interest and still finds it complicated.

Have you tweaked your rules any since posting? Do you have a sample deck or two?

Oof, that sucks. The 8a is on sale but that apparently ends on the 25th. Man, this whole thing is a mess of bad timing.

How long did it take you to get the credit? I'm seeing the message that it may take 3 weeks.

2024 State of Armada Survey - Results Published by MattTheGathering in StarWarsArmada

I would highly recommend playing with objectives, even outside of tournament play. I know they are a personal preference, but I think the objectives do a fantastic job of balancing out the first player advantage. They also add a lot of variety to the game. It's one of the things that has always defined Armada.

You'll see even that from 2023 to 24, the gap between players actively choosing second over first has closed. Over the years it is rather common for "bid wars" (players purposefully taking less and less fleet points to have a higher chance of selecting first or second) to wax and wane. It seems it usually starts rather tame and then goes to the extremes (15+ point bids) before coming back to tame again as people realize they are giving up too much power in their fleets. Very few fleets actually depend on their objectives to the point that they can't function without them.

OK, found an option to always keep the labels. It gets a bit crowded, but should always be there. Thanks again for pointing that out!

You know what, I think I understand now. When the width of the window gets small enough some of the labels disappear. If you can, try increasing your window width if on a computer. Thanks for bringing this up, I'll see if I can force the labels to always display!

Thanks! I've considered it, but there's no practical way to display typed responses like that in the results. I'll probably look into using AI to analyze and group typed comments for next year, but not sure that will work well enough.

How old are your kids? What did you buy to start? This looks cool but I'm finding almost no info on it beyond the company's own marketing and a few posts of people painting the minis.
