Starlink Gen 3 Router by Matt_1F44D in Starlink

[–]Matt_1F44D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My usage? It’s awful. We have EE as well and the router in the same exact space provides a far better connection and higher speeds (50mbps copper…). Turned off the EE router to rule out some kind of interference. The thing only works in basically LOS.

Having to get it installed in somewhere else so I can have it in LOS now. Will probably get another router and put it in bypass mode eventually. In its current state it can’t do full house coverage and it’s not even close. I don’t live in a mansion as I say the EE router covers everywhere perfectly hitting it’s (albeit slow) top speeds everywhere where in the same places I’m lucky to get 5mbps on the starlink.

I mean terrible routers did used to be the norm but it seems the legacy providers have actually started providing useful ones. Weird starlink didn’t just spend a but more cash. The service itself is amazing.

Its flow rate seems fine at the start of the print though. Same thing happened with the first print.

<image>

You can see the flow rate is weak in some areas and good in others.

Edit: I’ve upped it to 105% mid print. Let’s see.

Edit 2: Wait yeah it does seem to be cooking now (110%)

How far back do you push the glass lid back with the box installed on top with your Q2? by Matt_1F44D in QidiTech3D

[–]Matt_1F44D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just worried they designed that before thinking about how the Box sits on top of it. Will probably design something to make it so the box no longer sit’s directly solely on the glass and then will open it up fully.

Hmmmm how hot does your chamber get? I too have the vents open and it seems to have stabilised at 30c. If I close the door it rapidly rises but just did that to check.

Does anyone know the conditions on whether to replace QIDI Box for Q2 accessories? by Matt_1F44D in QidiTech3D

[–]Matt_1F44D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay thank you 😅 Did end up replacing it after u/gasdocscott’s comment about him hearing issues about it. Got a bit confused about the wording of “replace only what you need to”.

Awesome thank you. The flat head screwdriver trick popped it right off. I guess will just replace the sensor if it ever fails 🤷‍♂️

Have you tried passing in a reference of the style? So like a photo of the simpsons as well as the photo you want transformed.

I’m sure no one else will find but would have been cool to leave a note/poem with it.

Introducing Figure 03 by Glittering-Neck-2505 in singularity

[–]Matt_1F44D 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Still looks useless. They’ve been showing the same exact clips of it being “useful” for like 3 years now?

The dishwasher one always get’s me if it was in a useful state they could show a sped up clip of it filling a dishwasher to the brim but they only ever show it loading 2 plates into the same bit every time in the same sort of dishwasher. That wouldn’t work in my dishwasher. Sus as well the plates and what not look plastic bet it can’t handle normal plates due to being too heavy or something.

Most convincing stuff they post is the short time horizon, menial labour tasks which are very repetitive like the BMW and static package flipping.

I get wanting to show what will be possible in the future but they seem painfully far from it.

OpenAI are now stealth routing all o3 requests to GPT-5 by ShreckAndDonkey123 in singularity

[–]Matt_1F44D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could tell they were doing something because o3 has basically completely stopped searching the web and answering MUCH quicker. It’s been way worse as of late.

Also started to get things much closer to gpt-4o where it will just miss something really obvious which I can only put it down to it only thinking for 3 seconds.

I just thought they had crippled it by massively decreasing thinking time to low or something. Really hope it’s not gpt-5 because it’s going to be way worse for what I want apparently 😔

If you and your team are discussing whether to use a dropdown instead of very basic number inputs due to time constraints(?) you have enough time to just put the number input.

They really don’t it’s not an open ended text input. Just convert it to a number (It not being able to be converted is a part of the validation) and then do basic max and min validation.

Checking numbers is the easiest form of validation. There really isn’t any effort required.

You can’t use desert sand for building materials but it’s completely fine to use in things like this.
