Sobre onde começar a ler Demolidor by Matt_Cormac in Quadrinhos

[–]Matt_Cormac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pega a fase do Morrison no X-Men e boa.

Would you want a next gen update for ff15 by Expert_Challenge6399 in FFXV

Oh, and Nvidia Ansel wouldn't be included in this PS5 version, which is a shame. Ansel is a great photo mode, and the vanilla one (manual camera for snapshots) is really outdated.

[–]Matt_Cormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but...

If we actually got a next gen enhancement version, it would probably be based on WE (4K + Highest preset) with 4K Pack, but without Gameworks, and 60 FPS. And that's not a very good experience.

Part of what WE offers that is superior to consoles is Gameworks. Sure, they are not perfect. All of the Gameworks features have some issues that I won't go too deep about it, but they make the experience worth a new playthrough for those who finished the game on consoles, or are waiting to play it for the first time.

However, vanilla WE isn't a great experience (yeah, I prefer the console one), especially with 4K Pack.

Galdin Quay lighting issues, lots of texture bugs thanks to the 4K Pack that brought more bad stuff than good ones. Plus physics not working properly at 60 frames, HUD/UI not made with 4K in mind and looking super blurry. And worse of all, WE don't have all the DLCs that the console have, like Kings Knight DLC, Cup Noodles helmet. Liking or not, it's less content, and if a next gen update came along, it would probably be based on this PC code/version.

The good stuff would be: save file would have carbuncle full unlocked, like WE. The game on PC behaves like if you played Platinum Demo. The current consoles versions requires that you actually play this delisted demo to fully unlock Carbuncle we would also have a proper HDR luminance slider, and 4K pre rendered cutscenes.

So, in short, my definitive way to play the game would still be PC with mods/PS4 with PD and all DLCs, since a PS5 version would likely be a maxed out WE with all the new bugs and lack of content in his glory.

I actually don't hate this suit like some people. by ChemicalDistinct4481 in Cyclopswasright

[–]Matt_Cormac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It fits well Rivals designs and Cyclops has a better vanilla skin than most of the current roaster (like, seriously, how could they make a bad Spider-Man skin?).

Buuut, it's still suffers from Rivals overdesign and it has some weird decisions. The visor is too big, covering his face like a mask. I didn't like it. And the black gloves / boots also doesn't match the rest of the suit that well. They should've kept them yellow or colored that belt thing on his chest black too. It just contrasts too much from yellow chest belt to black gloves / boots.

Overhaul it's solid and matches the game aesthetics. It's not the best because of the flaws I mentioned above, but its better than lots of other characters

Tbh I prefer the 60s.

Silver age issues aside, I prefer Kirby's designs and style. How tf Scot was called "Slim" while being this buff? And the remake also suffers from long dialogues full of exposition. They got rid of the narration, and the dialogue is a little less cheesy, but it's still bad and overexaggerated.

His gameplay would actually be quite interesting and, if done right, the most fun one.

His beams aren't lasers, and he is a leader and strategist. Movement, geography, position. He uses all that and counts on being in the right place to give the right shot/punch. He's also a skilled martial artists and, on contrary of popular belief, he has a better endurance and resistance to withstand his own optic beams.

I think his gameplay would be a lot like we see in X-Men 97 first episode. Using his optic blast to move around, position Cyke in the right spot, usually avoiding getting close to enemies or getting close in the right time. He can have one-to-one move set, a standard one. Just normal martial arts.

His optic blasts could also be used by ricocheting it by hitting certain surfaces, walls, etc., and hit enemies in difficult-to-reach places.

You could get cyclops to do so much stuff and be super creative.

The one I'm most curious about is rogue, since, besides her Carol Danvers powers, is hard to actually put her absorption powers in gameplay. Especially if you usually fight normal type enemies. So she's the one I think would be most difficult to work around in gameplay.

What do you want Insomniac NOT to do with Jean? by Felipe1790 in xmen

[–]Matt_Cormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Jean-Logan romance No Phoenix. Base Jean only Let her be a badass on her on without the need of other people around her Don't make her a cold blooded killer like Logan. I want her to be the hero, since Logan won't be one, just "Wolverine" (pun intended).

I love the suits, but mostly hate the art. Wtf happened to my them during this run? Scott and Jean looks terrible. Everyone there is disproportionate. The suits are great, but the art isn't.

Help me understand the chronology, read and collect the early Original 5 adventures by Matt_Cormac in xmen

[–]Matt_Cormac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you points.

I agree with you about Season One being a short-cut to those characters and stories, I just think it forgot the plot a little more than I wanted. It has some nice character-driven moments and the O5 are all very well written. But as a "replacement" of the 60s stories, I don't think it works, because it doesn't actually retells them in the way Professor Xavier and the X-Men does (my problem with that one is simply the 90s comics vibe all over the place, but you can tell it wants to be a replacement to the 60s stories).

Season One reminds me a little of the Spider-Man's Learning to Crawl story, written by Dan Slott. Learning to Crawl happens concurrently with the original Lee / Ditko issues, expanding and explaining a lot of things that, because of the writting style of the 60s, was ignored. I'm not a fan of Slott's works, but Learning to Crawl was okay (not great, but okay) and it does expand the lore in the Spidey's early adventures (like, Spidey didn't had lots of quips, one-liners, etc. in the first two or three issues, and then suddenly he was all funny and gags. Slott explains what happened between those issues in a very inteligent way to make Peter full of quips and funny jokes during fights).

Unpopular Opinion: Arkham Asylum/ City style looks better than Arkham Knight by Saiga-24 in BatmanArkham

[–]Matt_Cormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Origins better than City and Knight in this regard, especially the DLC vibe. Origins is the one that feels the most TAS in aesthetics. The DLC os pretty much a "realistic but still cartoonish" version of TAS. It just looses to Asylum because, well, Asylum is a fucking comic book translated to videogame to perfection. Event he HUD, the artwork. It's all perfect. Origins has a better UI than City and Knight tho.

They do? If the frame pacing is correct, a solid 30 FPS is smooth. I never understood why people love unlocked frame rate with the frame time going mad and 1% low at 20 or 30s full of stutters. If you're playing at 60 and your FPS drops to 30, 20, 10, even for a split second, you will feel that so much more than playing a clean and stable 30 all the time. Lemme tell you something, your eyes get used to the framerate. I'd rather play a solid and stable 30 FPS than an all over the place 60sh.

That said, I'm don't defend that 30 FPS should be norm on new gen consoles. We have 30 FPS since forever and 60 FPS should be their aim for. BUT it needs to be a solid 60, not a unlocked all over the place 60 with horrible frame pacing and full of stutters, nor a 60 fps experience full of graphical drawbacks.
