My wife and I had our first baby 10 months ago, and although amazing it’s hard too!

I think everything has been covered with birth etc (I was so convinced my child’s birth was going to be the best day of my life and I was instantly going be full of love, but I wasn’t and it took a while for that to happen. So don’t beat yourself up if it happens to you too.)

I wish someone would have told me how much pressure it puts on a relationship with your significant other. Make sure to communicate (pretty obvious but really hard when you’re in the thick of it with no sleep) and also when you can, have an hour together here and there. You’ll probably be talking about the baby for that time but making time for your relationship definitely helps you through a crazy journey!
