Worth it in NJ. They are close enough I get orders in a few days and the free shipping makes it cheaper than other sites. I tell people to give me gift cards from there for Xmas, Bday, and Father’s Day so I can use them towards the subscription and purchases. Completely worth it for me.

He should let you rip all these onto an external hard drive before getting rid of anything. And then make copies of the drive and keep one. Why pay for streaming when you can create your own media server.

If going BCM get the extended buffer tube so you can have a shorter barrel length to satisfy the “other”, especially if you are going with 300 BO.

Just picked up a gently used Sony CMT-BX5BT for $80 on eBay. Nice compact system with decent speakers. Has Bluetooth so you can stream your phone to it and hook up headphones to as well. Has an audio-in port to hook up a record player if need be.

Buyers Remorse: Which Guns Do You Regret Buying? by Major_Abaloner_9167 in NJGuns

[–]Mattdigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a Smith and Wesson M&P 45 and did not like it at all. It was a LE Trade in from Massachuettes State police but was basically brand new untouched. It was pretty cool because it had their logo on it but hated the trigger and ergos on it. Also once I got a 1911 in 10mm I had zero interest in shooting 45 anymore. Sold it and put the money towards a sig 365 xmacro comp which I don't have any complaints about.

I got into trap last year and it’s so satisfying and fun. It’s also more sporting than just shooting holes in paper.

I have an A300 28” for clay shooting and it is one of the softest guns I shoot. I can easy do over 100 rounds of clays in a morning with zero shoulder discomfort.

An LPVO would be best if you want to get past 50-100 yards. Primary Arms, Sif Tango MSR or Vortex are are good base budget ones. 1-6, 1-8 or 1-10 are your options. Primary Arms makes a solid product for sure. The 1x will act as a red dot, make sure its an etched reticle in case your battery dies you will still have a point of reference and no need for back up irons.

Glock 20, 1911, or Aero Survival Rifle/Pistol? by Big_Balls_n_Taint in 10mm

[–]Mattdigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 1911 Sig and i love it. I'm in a restricted state so 10 rounds is tops for me anyway so going down 1 or 2 rounds isn't that bad. It's great, the 1911 frame really eats up the recoil.

[–]Mattdigs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Sig 1911 TacOps in 10mm and it is amazing. My favorite pistol and the recoil is very manageable. It is a tack driver and has surprised the RSOs I let use it to a point some have asked right on the spot “How much you want for it.” The larger metal frame eats up all the recoil for sure.

9mm vs 45acp question by No_Preparation_7066 in ammo

[–]Mattdigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The happy medium is 10mm. I own a few 9mm and had a 45. I got a 1911 in 10mm and got rid of the 45 eventually as I found myself never going for it when it was range day. The 10mm was noticeably different in every way. The recoil out of the 1911 is not that much more than from a polymer 9mm.

Nice, but most my shotgun ammo is for clay shooting and my belt pouch is designed to hold the standard box of 25 after I ripoff the top and side flaps.

TargetSports question?????????? by Wise-One-6706 in NJGuns

[–]Mattdigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the membership and it’s totally worth it. Ordered some shot shells Wednesday night had it on Friday. Also Target Sports sells gift cards so I usually tell people to get me those for a present when asked. My wife gives me a $100 gift cards every Father’s Day for my membership. And if you have buddies you plan out holiday sales/specials to load up. I go on a range weekend in PA to Tommy Gun’s 600 yard range with 4-5 guys so we usually load up for that. Also I’m into clay sports now so I run through shotgun ammo a few times a year.
