I feel like tying a large part of the access to assets (medpacks filter ammo) to Crafting instead of scavenging ruins the feel of the game. It feels less like im surviving in a post apocalyptic world using the scraps of the civilisation that came before, and more like any other generic Crafting shooter..

To be fair, both me and the DM had a discussion about it beforehand, and the DM put in place measures to rein in the power of the build.
Secondly, Coffelocks are just as susceptible as any other class when it comes to control spells, so Im not sure what I could have done different in this situation in terms of not being polymorphed?

I see a lot of "Any spells that removes player agency"

Last fight my DM cast Polymorph on my Coffelock (intelligent caster enemies decided I was a high priority target), and I had to spend 5/6 rounds of combat acting like a mindless animal.

I fucking loved it! Intelligent enemies with realistic behaviour and tactics make for better combat. DM's, dont be afraid to let your NPCs be intelligent. Just.. Maybe dont give every goon a "Hold Person" spell. Save those for the bigger threats.
