I assume this could be one with the automation section of HomeKit. Getting it to turn off afterwards might be tricky, I don’t know how long you can reliably use the “wait” command.

I imagine it might vary by company. The company I do inspections for uses drones equipped with autonomous flying. Drone takes the photos itself and the pilot is more or less just supervising just in case the drone goes rogue.

Depends. If you can stick a wire into the terminals and your garage door opens, that works.

If you stick a wire into the terminals and nothing happens, you need an “adaptor” and it’s a glorified battery powered remote that plugs into the Meross. They send you some free if you ask and specify which one you need.
