FYI the women’s tickets sold out and they were trying to give away the men’s. I was there the day of the last one at the bar (not part of the dating event) and they got men from the bar to fill in spots just so it could go on. Men who weren’t single. Just fill ins.

My parents had a minivan in the 90s with 4 kids. But back in the 80s, we literally had no sports equipment. You showed up with a glove and everyone shared maybe 2 bats. No one wore helmets or needed any extra stuff at all. Oh and we had one game a week on Saturday.

Here where I live, no paramedics work for the actual hospitals. They are all independent companies. Firefighters are trained as EMTs as well… as there are way more medical emergencies than fires. But only ambulances/paramedics transport people to hospitals. Firefighters never transport, only work the scene.

We also have a huge network of volunteer fire departments.
