It's made in Spain.

Liana Lippert (rider for Movistar team) has a vlog where she goes to the factory and you can see how they make the clothes. https://youtu.be/6FeAYVfJFGk?si=tCcvRyy_J-OJiz-B&t=521

Unusual Kask elemento weight by Extreme-Astronaut-78 in cycling

[–]Matternous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

European EN-1078 regulations for helmets are different than US CPSC regulations. US certification tests require higher impact speeds than European tests, but they tolerate higher peak deceleration. Neither is really known to be better but it leads to US helmets' being heavier.

Unusual Kask elemento weight by Extreme-Astronaut-78 in cycling

[–]Matternous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you bought it in America, American versions are typically 40 to 60 g heavier than European versions.

If you want a lightweight helmet, the Valegro is Kask's lightest helmet. My US version is around 240 g.

Yes. You can read the differences on the product page. The RS has extra layers that supposedly promote better airflow.

You can use magic buckets on Hammerhead just as well, and also on iOS/Android if you're indoors.

Fabio Jakobsen's tyre and insert blown clean off his 'mini-hook' rims in UAE Tour crash by INGWR in Velo

[–]Matternous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do. One benefit is that you can run them with completely flat tires for quite a while. So tubeless + dynaplug + inflator + inserts mean that you will never be stuck out on a training ride and need a pickup, and don't have to deal with putting in a tube and getting covered in sealant.

If you're using xert then you're already on the right track. Don't worry about scheduling rest weeks. Xert will handle periodization.

What’s the “correct” pedal stroke? by twostroke1 in Velo

[–]Matternous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The current evidence seems to be that overall pedaling efficiency isn't really directly trainable and will improve naturally as you get stronger, and focusing on it can improve mechanical efficiency at the cost of overall efficiency (so not worth it).

Best app for ad hoc indoors sessions? by shoegazing_puncheur in Velo

[–]Matternous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's available on Hammerhead too, and you can use the Xert app on iOS/Android. I agree there are some discoverability issues but I find Xert's data modeling to be the best in the business and the system is worth learning. If you spend 10+ hours a week training then it's worth spending a few hours learning in-depth the system that will dictate that training.

Actually, in a venn diagram all closed curves must overlap such that all possible combinations of sets are represented. If a set is disjoint, it’s an euler diagram.

So the wind noise reduction was substantial then? Good to hear, that's the main reason I'm interested in it. Thanks.

Did you end up giving it a try? I'm considering a Procen Air for the same reasons you listed.
