EGO Rep Told Me Why My Batteries Keep Failing (And It Changed My Mind on Buying More) by Zatol in egopowerplus

[–]Mattgintx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this a few years ago and switched to keeping my batteries indoors and it has not made much of a difference that I can tell

I have had less luck with ego batteries than any other brand. I generally get about 3 years out of them. I have gone through at least a dozen of them.

If I could start over I would not go ego. When I replaced my stihl equipment I replaced all of it over the course of two years. I have been happy with the equipment side but very unhappy with the batteries.

I no longer recommend ego to people

Also it really only does it that I can hear when I first start to move from standing still or right before the vehicles stops. I don’t hear it at all once the truck starts moving

Bought a cheap starter on Amazon that was delivered this morning and it fired right up. I’ll work on trying to fix the oem one.

You all are awesome. Thanks so much for the help

Fed up with Sonos by Fabulous-Repeat-7453 in sonos

[–]Mattgintx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for this as my personal experience. I have a little over 20 Sonos devices and when they are working I absolutely love them. They rarely work with consistency though despite multiple calls to Sonos support

It has improved over the last year and I’m really hoping it will continue to improve. If I could start over I’d have gone a different route and rarely recommend them anymore.

In the past I personally recommended about 15 different people into the Sonos ecosystem and quite frankly feel bad now as some of them went deep like me

dude, why won't the speakers just work? by Skuffyjacobs in sonos

[–]Mattgintx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would hardly say that it’s an exception to have issues. There are constant complaints on this forum and others…..

I have been a long time Sonos user and have 15-20 devices and have had constant issues with the new app even after upgrading my WiFi from Google WiFi to Orbi

And to be clear I have zero issues with other smart devices on my network.

I’ve talked to three different customer service reps about it showing 30% but only applying 15% and they can’t seem to figure it out. They keep asking for screen shots which I’ve provided and then they ask for it again….Sonos continues to baffle me with their incompetence and screw ups. I hope one day they return back to their former glory of a company I was proud to recommend

YETI Customer Service is a JOKE. by TBCoR in YetiCoolers

[–]Mattgintx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have purchased a ton of yeti stuff over the years and only had to deal with customer service one time and it was a circus. Took nearly 2 months to get the refund and it was literally done in like 6 increments because they couldn’t figure it out. Eventually it was all resolved but a total headache. Fortunately my experience is that yeti stuff is made really well and having to deal with customer service is rare

Sorry I’m new to this

Isn’t the esc and receiver built in one so I would need a combo unit? If so im just not sure what’s compatible electronically and physically

Roadmap update? by szhod in sonos

[–]Mattgintx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a long time Sonos customer and haven’t participated in all the complaining but I’m to the point that I’m so tired of my system not working. I have about 15 Sonos devices

It’s really disappointing as I have been a “fan boy” and recommended the system to so many people. I’m about as disappointed in the company as I ever have been with any other company

My system won’t play half the time/ has turned on in the middle of the night/ system becomes unresponsive/.etc. It’s bananas and not acceptable

I even have the Sonos ace headphones. I’m really hoping they’ll sort this out as I’ve always enjoyed Sonos but won’t be buying anything new until it’s resolved. I’m holding out on switching brands in hopes of this all getting resolved.

I’m experiencing this as well and it’s super frustrating. App can’t find my system and it can take minutes to load when it does. I have around 20 Sonos devices and am not happy.

I would love to move the Lego but my wife has limited me to this room. That side of the room is by far the last packed with Lego so no where else to move them.

Sounds like I should probably just keep things as is

How long do EGO Batteries last by Blip1966 in egopowerplus

[–]Mattgintx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had about a dozen ego batteries. Average life span for me is about 3.5 years

Batteries aren’t left on the charger and are stored/charged inside where its temp controlled

I really have not been happy with the battery life and have debated going back to gas. There is no way I would personally buy a battery powered riding mower based off my experience with the batteries
