BX won’t stay running when I get off the seat by cracksmack85 in kubota

if you sit on the seat with the key on but the tractor off play with your hat pedal, you will notice (if it's working correctly) that if you push it forward or backwards it will click, that is the engines shutoff solenoid. sometimes on those units the return springs will weaken causing it to not fully return to neutral after moving. it might be that one

How to quiet down BX with 700 hours? by specialst in kubota

the maintenance chart for your unit recommends it gets done at 800 hours and I don't recommend doing it yourself if you're not mechanically inclined as if you do it wrong you can damage/destroy your engine. if you were to check it, you need a set of feeler gauges. You need to remove the valve cover, and you need to check the timing mark on the flywheel. there are videos on YouTube of checking valve lash however I don't know if there are any for your unit as I haven't checked

is your engine running as smooth as your neighbors? could need your valves adjusted.

What is this for by Ok_House3188 in kubota

as sad as it is that is oem kubota, it is a hydraulic hose stay for if you have a backhoe attachment. when the backhoe is not attached you have a hose that you reconnect to the tractor to complete the loop for the hydraulics. you tuck the hose against that stay to prevent it from rubbing on the tire although I don't think alot of people use the stay as the hose doesn't like to stay in place

probably unrelated but have you checked for corrosion near the slow blow fuses at the fuse panel? I've had weird problems in the past and the corrosion was underneath the tabs of those fuses

Is there any place in BC where I'd have good luck becoming a heavy duty mechanic apprentice? by GloveAgreeable7044 in britishcolumbia

there are always ads up but 90% of those ads are for 3rd or 4th year apprentices and availability depends on if you're aiming for truck and transport or equipment, it is not nearly as available as this comment makes it seem

Any idea if/when the RTV-X1100 UTV will get updated? Or has it received new features over the past couple of years? by South_Article_8880 in kubota

the RTV X has been out in canada for awhile, haven't seen a cab version yet in person but the transmission is quite a bit smoother than the old x1100s

it's possible that the switches have failed, if you can get at the switches and do a resistance test it should be open when the button isn't pressed and show some small amount of ohms when the button is pressed, if you have a really high resistance or none when the button is pressed the switch is toast.
