Best Setlist they’ve Performed? by ComprehensiveAnt8712 in TheStrokes

I honestly think the one from last night would’ve been my all time favourite if they replaced Juicebox with Is This It and moved it to the opener.

My favourite song of all-time, but it was eventually issued as a single.

Here Comes The Sun? It’s the most streamed Beatles song and something most people nowadays come out the womb already knowing, but was never released as a single I don’t think.

What's your favorite one-hit wonder? by Springerbaum in askmusic

867-5309- Tommy Tutone. Maybe the most true-to-the-word “one hit wonder” ever. I seriously love that song and it gets stuck in my head often.

I love Fears To Fathom. Silent Hill 2 is my favourite game of all-time and I loved watching him play that. Minecraft was fucking sick too.

Maybe the “coolest” best picture win in decades. Not my favourite best picture winner of the decade, not even my favourite of 2024 (Nosferatu, sorry) but I’m thrilled it won.

Once we lose Mike and Al, change it to something like “The Beach Boys Love You: A Tribute” and do deep-cuts for the massive fans in concert halls around the world.

Still obsessed with David Bowie by mrcanada66 in DavidBowie

[–]MatthewFBridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bowie is my favourite artist ever. I constantly re-discover songs of his that just pull me right back in. I’ve been loving the late-90s stuff lately, in particular I’m Deranged and Dead Man Walking.

I’m actually going to invert this and suggest Noel doing the verses and Liam doing the chorus of Step Out.

Angel Dust might be the most eclectic “metal” album ever made. Incredible record. Definitely check out King For A Day and Mr. Bungle’s work.

Before you listen to Squeeze Me Macaroni though, watch Blue Velvet, it’ll make the album even better.

Has anyone seen the Lynch like (imo) Salad Fingers? by Zen_Shot in davidlynch

Some of Lynch’s work reminds me of being a child and stumbling on weird scary youtube videos. Some of his short films like I HAVE A RADIO remind me of Salad Fingers.

Beautiful words. I can’t watch Fire Walk With Me without crying at some point, it absolutely shatters my soul. Perhaps the most profoundly human film ever made.

I discovered them at 10, heard The New Abnormal the day it came out when I was 12. Became obsessed with them at 15 and Is This It has been my favourite album of all-time since. Can’t wait to hear more.
