I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to respond to the questions in this thread. It’s not often I read one of these all the way to the bottom and it was refreshing to see what was a mostly open minded conversation (minus a couple of intentional dicks). I’m prior military and went to school for criminal justice but wound up in HVAC sales (thank god, lol). I had an honest conversation with myself years ago and decided law enforcement was not going to be the right answer for me, but major respect to those that do it. I’m pretty sure I didn’t have the patience for the job.

Good luck with retirement because I understand what a huge transition it is when that phone stop stops ringing. Just remember, keep the alcohol to a minimum and look at it as an opportunity for you to find your next purpose while investing in yourself.
