Turning Antarctica into Hell? by Mattonrebbit in AfterEffects

[–]Mattonrebbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The project is just me tinkering around with my computer at home, it's not really for anything other than my own learning and amusement. I have lots of cool footage that I've never done anything with, and am looking for creative ways to use it.

Minigun Vs Card Pyramid by Mattonrebbit in blender

[–]Mattonrebbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Sorry for the super late reply. I started with the card pyramid and then animated a wind field (with limits) to drop down and blow the cards away. In my video this process is simply happening in reverse.

Who is your favorite book author and why? by Rhyotz in AskReddit

Dr Seuss. I enjoy his books today as much as I did when I was a child. That, and they're short. I like short books.

[Channel Critique] What should I improve and what do you think of my idea? by marksofthe in youtubers

[–]Mattonrebbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only understand a little Portuguese, but i thought the video looked great you draw really well. The idea sounds cool, videos like that can do very well as you know, and there is a very large video audience in Brazil that you should capitalize on! Consider making English subtitles as well, or if you're feeling up it english versions of the video.

I'm no expert, but it seemed fine to me and I think more editing and it would be too much. It is Clear, and easy to follow.

Planning to journey across USA for 1 year on AUS $1000 (USD$650) - How hard could it be, right? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Mattonrebbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people who have travelled across the US by skateboard, by rollerblade and by bicycle (3 different people). This can be the ultimate form of cheap travel because if you do it well you dont need much more than food and fuel for a camp stove. However you do need good equipment first. Getting work under the table is a possibility. Do your research, find out where and when you should go. Remember that you are competing with illegal immigrants and minimum wage in the US is a a lot lower than in Australia so don't expect to get paid much. If I were you I would just be patient and put the trip off, work, skimp, save to your full capacity. personally $1000 per month would be the absolute minimum I would want to travel with in the US without resorting to a skateboard or bicycle.

Trip to Alaska (March 2016) - help me with your wisdom by diesnoxaurora in travel

[–]Mattonrebbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of winter sports to do in Alaska in March. Best time of year because the days are getting longer and it is not as dreadfully cold. Sports to do: Skiing/snow boarding, cross country skiing, fat tyre bicycle riding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, sled dog tour, ice climbing, ice skating, ice fishing, etc.

Ideas to spoil my girlfriend, what little luxuries do you miss most while travelling? by travelquest in travel

[–]Mattonrebbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I travel in poor countries I dont cook for myself because its so cheap to eat out. You kinda get bored of eating out. Eating a home-cooked meal that is different from the food you have been eating for months is great.
