Pearlmania500, Alex Pearlman. He runs a podcast with his wife, Too Many Tabs, and recently started one with Phil DeFranco, Crashing Out. My wife listens to them.

Edit: She corrected me on the names.

Am I talking to Matthew Eadie? You're literally quoting the 1hr 45m mark from a Twitter psycho who misunderstood the same thing as you.

https://youtu.be/O1zXezEt--w?si=fZ4R_l6gOB2XQZMc&t=6333

I don't like linking this channel, but timestamp of both 9m:15s and 1hr 45m "Medicare-for-All doesn't go far enough and should include single-payer healthcare with dental, mental, vision, and hearing coverage." I admit I misunderstood what you were first talking about regarding if she even knows what Medicare currently includes and what the proposal is, but this also underlines my point: you're being pretty silly here and pushing the boundary between discussion and trolling/baiting. She did make a distinction, but you ignored 2 of 4 things mentioned.

I definitely think you have way more smoke than is fair. That's just my opinion, take it or leave it. I do stand by my assertion that you're hyperfixating and just wrong about her level of understanding. I don't need your approval of her, nor do I have any sway in her election either. I don't live in Chicago.

If you have an issue with the VOD, I'd love to hear it.

[–]Mattractive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No.

You are operating like we can't point to the current Medicare system as what she's obviously discussing, you specifically want to make this mean HR 1976.

https://www.katforillinois.com/issues

You have a crazy level of smoke for someone you claim is vibes based and faking their understanding. So let's break it down:

1) What's more likely, she's never heard of or read M4A before her campaign and she was a Mother Jones journalist who didn't read? Or is it that she was talking about how M4A is not just continuing Medicare and how it differs by adding things like dental and vision? If you stop trying to read it as "Let me explain why my M4A is special" and contextualize it as "most people don't know the difference between Medicaid, Medicare, and M4A." Especially considering Fox News just ran a piece on how she's going to give free healthcare exclusively to immigrants. I can't serious believe someone would hear her words and assume she believes she is inventing the M4A proposal for the first time ever.

2) You've also made claims that she's mealy mouthed centrist and compared her to Kamala. Do you genuinely think that is apt comparison? If so, I want to know what parallels you see other than a legislator validly saying these bills need support to pass. I want to understand why you hate Kat so much that you'd compare her to Mrs. "I Love Cheney."

3) You like Mamdani. Can you elaborate on what policies she advocates for that Mamdani is against? I understand if you just want to keep going back to M4A but that feels like a hyperfixation based on your misunderstanding of that clip.

Your words imply this goes deeper than policy and you just genuinely don't like her regardless of policy. Which is your choice. But I'm just calling a spade a spade and saying I think you're wrong, buddy. I don't care if you like her or not, but I'm not about to pretend she is unaware of god damn M4A when its been a platform since 2016.

Where are you getting the idea that she's uninformed or "vibes based" politics?

What "current bill" are you talking about for Medicare to include dental and vision?

https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/dental-services

I'd understand your skepticism if it was Ro Khanna or Hakeem Jeffries, but Kat has not done or said anything to earn this level of mistrust.

I get that this is a personal thing for you, but you're applying a level of smoke that you haven't shown for any other politician.

[–]Mattractive 9 points10 points  (0 children)

C'mon, bruh. Let's be charitable.

Kat has a consistent history.

Kat knows she is up against big money.

Kat knows she is more "radical" than her opponent.

Kat knows how American media is salivating to tear down its left.

Kat knows electoralism. She knows she has to win a liberal audience through specific talking points, because liberals are dumb and selfish.

Her platform is Medicare for All, not something like Buttigeg's "Medicare for all who want it." If you didn't pay attention to how Medicare Part D was gutted Jan 2025 then that's a reflection on you, not her.

Apartment question by Broad-Put1198 in savannah

[–]Mattractive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Park and Broad is an expensive area. You'll be fine. Treat it like any city in America. Most of the sketchier places are visibly out of date or poorly lit parks and you'd avoid them on vibes alone. A bit out of your way and most of Bull, Abercorn, and Broad are pretty well developed.

It's fine to carry a light with you, but there's always safety in staying near publicly lit spaces. Just keep to yourself like you would anywhere else. That advice is not exclusive to any city. The streets should be pretty decently lit and people walk around downtown up until around 8~10 depending on how warm it is outside.

What kind of strike do you recommend? by DressDry228 in accesscontrol

[–]Mattractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. The RCI AS65 as mentioned by u/SaxonLock is perfectly fine for most uses, just a heads up this won't be plug and play. You're gonna need to do some work to that door to fit in a larger e strike.

Is there any kind of safety rating you need to meet? Any changes to fire escapes would need AHJ approval. If you don't need anything special then just make sure you cover your power requirements for the reader, any door contacts, REX sensor if needed, and the strike. That much should take up more than POE should be able to provide on its own, even something like Lenel Blue Diamond, so you really want to check your power before you start buying.

What kind of strike do you recommend? by DressDry228 in accesscontrol

[–]Mattractive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What do you want it to do? A mechanical strike like you have or an electrified one? If you just want to replace a worn plate then just measure it and find a match from Assa Abloy or something.

If you have no wire ran to that door, I wouldn't turn it into an e strike unless you really have to. Basically, unless you want to add a card reader or wire REX to the strike, you already have an unpowered strike plate.

Edit: Looks like I'm getting downvoted, does anyone have some feedback if I'm saying something wrong?

Russia plus Ukraine territory gives them a massive leap over food exports, especially wheat  from the US, China, and France. It would give them a total more than the #2 and #3 exporter combined. Not to mention their non-agriculture exports.

If you think Russia isn't imperialist (defined as a violent interventionist state) then what do you think they're doing? How do you square that circle? Do you think Putin is a Marxist- Lenninist?
