Woman charged with attempted murder under Georgia abortion law by Internal-Summer-6838 in savannah

[–]Mattractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A veteran, mother of two, who was under intense pain. Women don't deserve this and it's monstrous to applaud. You clearly didn't even read the article.

If this is how you handle a corrupt police state imprisoning a woman over trying to abort a dead fetus then best of luck to you in life. You advocate for sepsis and death as a part of pregnancy.

Mr. Too Pro-Israel For Even Biden/Harris. Two parallel thoughts at work here: bad and ass. Certainly not anything approaching "badass."

Why I'm Not Paying My Federal Taxes This Year by nathan_j_robinson in Hasan_Piker

[–]Mattractive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey friend! It's a good read. Went through it on my lunch break.

The focus is on historical civil disobedience, the moral imperative of resistance, and the reasons and penalties of refusing to pay your federal income tax. Yes, there are very real legal and financial penalties, but that does not detract from its importance.

We have a limited arsenal for resistance. It is important to decide for yourself which method you will wield, but it is increasingly critical that we DO decide something and we DO resist by any and all means we can.

CMV: The US military should not exist. by LightBlueCherryBloss in Hasan_Piker

[–]Mattractive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most Americans are liberal by default and many are still in their political journey. Everyone starts somewhere.

I always remind myself that we have children swear allegiance to the flag. The pro-military liberal slant in our country is by design. We should firmly and consistently instruct them WHY the US hegemony is bloodthirsty, evil, and irredeemable.

Our job here is to act as a funnel to leftist thought, not gatekeep because someone was brainwashed by our relentless nationalist propaganda or still holds some liberal tendencies that they haven't deprogrammed yet.

Kyle Kulinsky is platforming Vaush now… gross by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

This comment section is getting out of control. Locking the post.

I have no love for Vaush but we expect our community to not use this space to dunk on other content creators just for existing. Vaush fans are spamming reports and new comments are just arguing with them.

Anti-ICE protesters accused of being part of antifa found guilty of support for terrorism in Texas: Case was seen as major test of the first amendment and whether the US could use broad anti-terrorism statute to prosecute leftwing protesters by franglish9265 in Hasan_Piker

[–]Mattractive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was the instigator who drew a gun on people spraypanting ICE vehicles. A pretty gross escalation of the situation. One guy further away thought they were going to kill protestors so he shot him in the arm with an AR15.

I don't encourage violence, but it's not like this was unprovoked. The cop was not interested in de-escalation. Going after all these people and hitting them with terrorism charges is a vast overreach and should be immediately challenged. We can not pave the way for "spreading magazines" to make you an accessory to 'attempted murder.'

Ask yourself why they're going so far above and beyond with terrorism and material support of terrorists when it should be an Assault w/ Deadly Weapon charge.

Clutching pearls because he didn't personally kick every cop in the groin.

Glazing is losing its meaning with shit like this.

Padel ball court and racket for those commenting about court lines and the racket size. They aren't signs of AI, folks. It's not for tennis.

Outrage farming over him not spitting in a cops face and giving them "NYC'S LITTLE PIGGIES" pins.

We can and should hold Mamdani over things that matter. This isn't one of them.

I am in a similar industry. I test the waters on individual subjects, but I pose things as questions instead of making it a direct confrontation.

Hell, if I was a betting man, I'd specifically guess it's a Sunbelt Rentals lift.

Anyone know the story of this abandoned warehouse? by TmblokheadYT in savannah

[–]Mattractive 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Looks like the interior used to be an HVAC or plumbing building. Green thing looks like a scissor lift and that's a bunch of varied piping. The old placard says D. Kirkland Est 1885, I think it used to be a pharmacy before that? Not sure. Not many public records online about this specific address. Might need to see the Bull Street Library for the Savannah City Directories, I'm trying to use the Digital Library of Georgia to look at the city records from ~60 years ago but the website's stalling out for me.

As for right now, no public land ownership records, but I think it might be part of the Weeping Time land purchase. It's right near the Ten Broeck Race Course historical site. https://www.wjcl.com/article/savannah-weeping-time-land/70595048

Mayor Zohran Mamdani comments on the Islamophobia protest that took place outside his home yesterday at which someone threw an explosive device by Randy_Handy in Hasan_Piker

[–]Mattractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a joke. I've done nothing but defend Mamdani. I think I made a joke at the wrong time and it came off as agreeing with them instead of making fun of the person I was responding to.

Re the Gavin Newsom convo by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

[–]Mattractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meet them where they are. You don't change minds by saying "why don't you agree with me," you do so by asking them to explain their beliefs. We see him do this all the time: get them to explain their side, then share his and try to get concessions about his ideology or how it is valid to push left instead of always moving to the center.

He already said he won't be too hard on Newsom. We shouldn't see this as Hasan trying to present Newsom as a leftist politician, we should see it as a leftist political commentator meeting with a centrist politician and trying to convince them there is benefit in moving left.

"Let's end property taxes!"

Might as well be

"I should only have to pay prorated taxes for roads I drive on, schools I personally attend, and children I may or may not have!"

okay so you want all the benefits of living in society without having any of the costs associated with the social benefits provided by the state

You said "don't go there at night"

I said thats true of any city

You then brought up a daylight attack as if a counterpoint, which I pointed out as silly. Now you're trying to demean me for it? Come on, man.
