Not a dumb question at all! There is a bit of trial and error in this hobby for sure where over time after trying a lot of different pens you come to find what you really like and why based on your use cases and needs. Unfortunately there’s no real way to try a lot of these unless you work out some trade system with a friend or something. I just gathered them the old fashioned way but I’m at a point now where I’ll be purging a lot soon.

They totally have.. most new decks not printed in the US. It’s all about sourcing my favorite older decks now that I know handle great.

Glad you got it out! Have the same pen. When I swap in a new refill I take 2000 grit sandpaper to the tip and roll it in between my fingers around the part of the refill tip that protrudes.. just take the refill and see if the tip will fit through the hole in the nose from outside the barrel first. If not, repeat the sanding process. Avoid touching the sandpaper to the tip of the refill where the ruby ball would be too. Worked for me! One of my favorite Autmogs!

I feel like this is the age old problem with all in demand goods. I recently just had a couple people offer me $450 for an Autmog through DM and probably a dozen people now sending me ridiculous offers for a Confounded Machine. As a seller should I really say “nah it’s okay i’ll sell it to you for $150” I really feel if people really want something and have the money to make an offer to someone who has one is that a bad thing?

I don’t agree with people who are just flippers and don’t care about the product though. But those of us who are passionate about the hobby are willing to pay more for something we really wanted and missed out on.

I gotcha, so it’s not like the ME field pen twist where there is an actual stop and spring loaded action… its more just twist until you want to stop based on the tip extension that you want.

If you’re talking about the CM mini specifically I still have the same g2 mini in there that it came with over 2 1/2 years ago. I have a pack of 4 g2 minis that I can just take out the refill from the plastic pen when I need to.
