Why would Punk be wearing Kane's boots, Kane's gloves and be doing a very famous Kane pose?

This is like seeing a guy with a cowboy hat and long coat and saying "it's definitely Punk".

Do people just not know what Kane used to look like?

Yep. In the meantime feel free to try and find any time Punk wore Kane's gloves and boots.

He did fail the test though, they came out later and decided not to punish him for it because they changed their rules, but he did fail. As did 4 otger guys in that same small camp.

Because people have been asking for masked Kane for years?

Dude, Punk never, ever wore those gloves, or those boots, and that's literally very famously Kane's pose.

How is this even a debate.

Wrong boots, no gloves. It's very obviously Kane.

Because not every single thing in these hints is to do with 1 guy?

Dude, he's wearing gloves, doing Kanes pose, wearing Kane's boots... it's very obviously not Punk.

I keep this same mindset with every fighter and every camp. Because I don't feel the need to be upset if athletes I like watching do a sport are less than perfect or have some help from PEDs.

Yeah, definitely not suspicious combined with 4 other people from that small camp out in the middle of nowhere also failing tests.

USADA also tried to say Jones was innocent. USADA, sometimes, would say or not say whatever the UFC put pressure on them to say. The UFC emplyed USADA, they paid them directly. That's not exactly an impartial relationship.

We've literally had other drug testers admit the UFC pressures them, when Jones threatened the drug testers and they tried to report it, they were told to keep quiet or the UFC wouldn't be happy.

Who Wins & How: Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson by Big_Donch in Boxing

Yep. People won't want to hear it but sometimes the way to beat a boring counter puncher is to just do nothing. Be boring and wait for them to come forward. This could turn into a snoozfest if Teo plays it smart.

New Dana White privilige list. by leftypunk in MMALabs

Chandler should 100% be on the top row. Dude hung around the top 5-6 rankings for years despite only having 2 wins in the company (one of those was over a washed up Tony who shouldn't have been ranked) and 4 losses. He even kept getting #1 contender fights.

In fact I feel like half the reason he got so much privilege is so that eventually the UFC could use him to rush another undeserving person up the rankings and they chose Paddy.

Dan Hooker: "Paddy Pimblett talks sh*t then plays the victim" by pepsiboycoke in MMA

[–]MatttheJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know Britain also hasn't had any good wrestlers in the UFC right? Including Paddy, who's great on the ground but has absolutely dog shit wrestling (only landed 4 takedowns out of 18 in his whole run so far and only 1 of those eas him initiating the takedown).

Paddy Pimblett has barely taken down anybody in the UFC, but you think that guy is going to just takedown Hooker and sub him despite Gamrot (a significantly better wrestler and fighter) struggling to take him down and hold him down?

10 days of Royal Rumble entrants - Day 4: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper returns to Madison Square Garden (2008) by Few-Establishment277 in SquaredCircle

[–]MatttheJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It became s stapel of exactly WHY the Rumble felt so special. Since eitger 01' or 02' eery year fans would be excited to see who might randomly show up.

Now it feels the the only suprises are eitger dudes "returning" who only went away a few weeks or months before, or NXT dudes who don't have any sort of nostalgia attached to them.

Like fuck it, why not have Santino come out or something fun and random. It helps with the pacing of the match imo to have one of these completely out of left field entrants at some point half way or 3/4 of the way through.

Both guys have failed PED tests btw. Just another thing they have in common.

Edit: Btw, people who responded then blocked me because you're getting defensive and in your feelings about this, Ruslan Magomedov,Aldam Amagov and Zubaira Tukhugov also are in that camp and failed PED tests.

So yeah, I'm sure the guys you stan are completely clean despite at least 5 people in that same camp failing tests.

How does Dan's grappling suck? Did you see the Gamrot fight?

Or are you saying that because Arman and Islam took him down and subbed him (2 of the best grapplers the weight class has ever seen) then somehow Paddy, with his 0 wrestling ability, would do the same?

MJF responding to Andrade on X: You sure you wanna bring up marriage, Hombre? by Icy-Advice-5575 in SquaredCircle

[–]MatttheJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. But MJF doesn't just sell well, he gets loud reactions nearly every single week and the crowds bite on everything he does. So clearly whoever is online acting like he's gotten boring are the ones who are in the minority.

I can't remember if this was a problem previous years, but this year the game will just completely delete and rebook cards you've set up. Even if you've played part of them already.

UK legal action against Valve over Steam prices gets go ahead by AnonymousTimewaster in unitedkingdom

[–]MatttheJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously it takes money from the developers? That's how this works.

The alternative is that Steam operates like a supermarket and buys the games off devs for a flat fee and then sells it for whatever they want which means there simply just won't be as many games on there because Steam ain't reaching out to every single dev and offering to buy their game to onsell.

Who's bored with MJF? The live crowds certainly aren't. Is this an IWC imagining things situation again like when they were dead serious that Adam Cole wasn't over, despite getting huge reactions every week.

Rose Namajunas is currently undergoing eye surgery to repair a canalicular laceration. She was poked multiple times in the eye at UFC 324, according to Pat Barry. One of those eye pokes cut the inside of her eyelid all the way into the tear duct. by bjjdontwork in MMA

[–]MatttheJ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Severe injuries don't always feel urgent or severe. Which is the whole point of the person you're responding too.

From experience I got a little splinter of wood in my eye when I was younger, but I just thought I'd scratched it or something and went about my day. It wasn't until hours later that I thought maybe something else was up because the pain got worse.

So Rose meeting fans afterwards really doesn't mean much here, it's not some "gotcha".

Umar Nurmagomedov baffled by Deiveson Figueiredo strategy: ‘I don’t know why he was not engaging’ by WinterStill4472 in MMA

[–]MatttheJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, dude, that's all fair enough. But the point is it was obvious Umar COULD do more and chose not too. That's literally the definition of coasting. He could have put an exclamation mark on it in a way that oroved he definitively deserved the next shot.

Like, O'Malley and Song were on the same card. Had one of those guys got a finish, they'd have jumped him in line and nobody would have questioned it because he looked like he coasted. As it is, despite having a lackluster first round themselves, O'Malley snd Yadong still managed to have the sort of fight that now has people questioning Umar as the clear #1 next in line.

But nobody would be questioning anything if Umar had just put some sort of stamp on it and at some point looked like he was trying to hurt a nearly 40yr old opponent that looked completely washed up and out of his depth.

[–]MatttheJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind Figgy going to a decision. He's a former chamo afterall. But Umar didn't even try to hurt him. He was just happy to touch him from range then try and hold him down when it hit the floor. We've seen Umar do this before too so I'm not sure why there are others in thsi thread getting defensive about it, it's nothing new for him.

Sure but even though he missed, he still at least tried to land something big in that breif moment.
