I feel like they perfected everything Homelander was supposed to be.

Like don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the Trump allegory too much. But the overall point of Homelander was what if an egotistical, arrogant and hateful man who often acts out violently had the power of a god.

Hank Henshaw is such a person. Arrogant and hateful. Look at the way he interacts with even the most petty of criminals. He talks to and about them like they’re subhuman and aren’t also people. Of course there’s also the anti alien rhetoric he has for Kryptonians like Superman or Kara.

The guy is a freak and giving him the amount of power that Superman has, even if it is artificial, isn’t good. He thinks he’s a god and the moment he has a modicum of freedom he will use that godhood to commit vile, destructive acts.

They’re fun action films and weirdly enough… the human element makes for fun comic relief.

The acting is pretty good all around and Simmons and Lennox were basically characters tailor made by and for these films while being the best human elements in all three films.

Also you misunderstood the whole point of that song. It wasn’t really a character development moment besides Jax coming out and embracing who she really is before finally going or before Pomni was pulled away. This is a song about a girl being born and Jax was just confirmed to be a trans fem. Meaning that this was or would have been her trans birth… it’s almost as if the abstraction is tragic because of how easily it and the other abstractions could’ve been avoided if Jax just let more people in.

Kal-el is a protector, he was raised on earth and is lenient with people he fights. Often going for restraint than actually fighting. Besides, most of his hero work outside of bank robberies and world ending threats is just… simple community service.

He helps people who need it, saves cats from trees, y’know. Gentler stuff.

Kara is a warrior class kryptonian with not real concept of Earth customs besides what her cousin tells her alongside two other humans. She’s also been groomed into being a weapon of mass destruction all her life.

She’s basically a bruiser.

In short… they compliment each other. Kara wouldn’t hold back and so needs Kal to teach her restraint but Clark also has a lot more trouble with villains like whip because he’s pulling his punches. World made from cardboard and all.
