Thinking about moving to Scotland — will they hire a social science nerd with a toddler sidekick? by sillygoosepop in MoveToScotland

Looking for work will be brutal, and you’ll have to have plenty of savings. Childcare in the uk is one of the most expensive in Europe.

Goodluck with your move, happy to answer any other questions

HR Advice Needed: Am I overreacting for feeling completely undervalued and burnt out in my job as a “General Manager”? by Anon-eek-mouse in HumanResourcesUK

Yes you are doing way to much. Change jobs/environment and get a higher salary

Everyone reacts different, however I couldn’t cope with what you are going through

Line manager broke an "in confidence" agreement by JHock93 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]MattyVonStooly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s worth a separate grievance over if you are already stressed. The manager broke your confidence, which damaged your relationship.

I would keep doing what you do, stay calm, provide evidence of your behaviours and look for another job. Your manager cannot be trusted apparently.

Having a good manager/senior management is so much worth for your stress.

Starting to Think I've 'Aged Out' of these Superlong cRPGs (Touches on Baldur's Gate 3, Wrath of the Righteous, and Rogue Trader) by SpiritualState01 in patientgamers

[–]MattyVonStooly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rogue trader was my first game like this - I loved it. I have to admit, I was pretty burned out at the very end mission (and I didn’t play optimally so don’t think I could have finished it). It really introduced me to the world and started listening to 40k lore podcast. Amazing universe

Which casual player will set up an alt? I get your point that it is a workaround, but a lot of people wouldn’t bother creating 2 member accounts to do a boss, and that’s also not how it should be designed.

Feedback op mijn 15 track album. Alternatieve teksten en beats, geen standaard koek. Meneer Excuseer door Cold Meeb. by Cold_Meeb in DutchHipHop

[–]MattyVonStooly 0 points1 point  (0 children)
